So I would say brand, but there can be outliners such as some people can have negative reactions to how the capsule is put together for one company to another or how the capsule breaks down? (Though I'm not a medical professional so I may be wrong).

Yes, a vitamin D capsule is likely more effective at getting vitamin D into your system. Conversely a Covid vaccine was better at keeping you from getting sick or if you did get sick likely helped you get less sick.
Different things do different things…. And statistics don't care much about your feelings on the matter.
Vitamin D strengthens the immune system, lack of it was a big reason COVID had a greater impact.
