Is this discount as good as it gets since you have posted some low ball offers in the past?

Actual BF sales for Reolink are next week.

    • For this product, yes:)

  • Any deals on the floodlight?

    • Most likely next week when their actual BF sales start.

      • ahh thanks but i bought from the aliexpress deal with coupons as im going away, need to get it installed before we leave

OP - what hardware version is the RLN8-410 (Refurbished) you are selling on your website for 246.99?

    • Tried to link you to the exact same unit on AliExpress shipped in under 48 hours for $185 brand new with 2tb drive, but the website is playing silly buggers. If interested you should be able to find it on their site or app by searching Reolink NVR and applying vouchers AUCF20 and REOLINK1696 plus any coins you have for at least US$26 off the already cheaper price.

Model is latest version - RLN8-410 v3.0, hardware version N7MB01.

    Hey rep,

Love your gear, but can you explain why it’s more expensive to buy direct rather than via AliExpress which links to stock from your Sydney operation?

    Ozbargain won’t let me post a link to your ColorX cam page on AliExpress, but as we speak I could buy;
    1 x CX410 for US$49.01 or AU$75.77
    Or better yet
    1 x CX810 for US$59.74 or AU$92.36
    2 x CX810 for US$114.25 or AU$176.63

Not complaining, since I’ve got some great gear thru AliExpress (and to a lesser extent previously via promos on Amazon and EBay). I know they must subsidise some of coupons and promos but I’d rather buy direct from you so you don’t have to give up margin to an overseas merchant when you’re still shipping it from the same Sydney warehouse.

This same question was raised many times in past Reolink deals. Good luck getting a straight answer from the rep.

“A straight answer from the rep”?

LOL! Apparently it’s hard enough getting any answer!

And it’s a bit of a stretch calling him a rep as well. Bobbing up in a bargain forum to post deals more expensive than any member of the public can freely find, and failing to respond to any queries makes him less of a “rep” and more of “white noise”…

        ;-p

        • For the first time, I am seeing prices on the official Reolink website much cheaper than their AliExpress store. For example: RLC823AS1, RLC823AS2.

I haven't used AliExpress for a while, so maybe I can find some magical coupons to lower the prices further. I did it for the Reolink Duo 3. The saving was ~ $16 compared to the official Reolink website.

          • @DoctorCalculon: Good to see, too! I think most people would rather buy direct.

For reference, my two Duo 3’s were purchased from AliExpress for AU$77 (bare unit) and $96 (with 256gb SDcard) a few months ago. They were less than half the price of the main site, and that was before taking off a further 10% in coins. Hope that the official site will have similar deals in future.

Dude! That is an insane price for the Duo 3.

Right now, the bare unit price is AU$214.36 for the Duo 3 16MP model.

Are you talking about the Duo 3 or the Duo 2 model?

$96 (with 256gb SDcard) a few months ago

I never buy the SD cards from Reolink. They are cheap but I am not entirely sure how reliable they are.
Samsung PRO Endurance is the way to go.

Hope that the official site will have similar deals in future.

Very unlikely. We have to keep an eye on AliExpress for those insanely cheap prices from time to time.

@DoctorCalculon: Yes, Duo 3 price was ridiculous. It was posted on here as a deal which is how I found it. L

The only reason I ordered the bundle with the SD card is because it was so much cheaper than the Duo 3 on its own. I’m not sure how they compare to endurance cards but since I only use it for motion activated recordings, hopefully I’ll get a year or two out of it. At the price, it was a bonus.

                  Was it this deal? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/862894
The price was $175 not $77.

The cheapest price for the Duo 2 was $67.94.

I rely more on my NVR than local storage.

@DoctorCalculon: That deal was $175 but this one wasn’t; https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/852379

US$50.90 for the Duo 3 with coins and codes - less than AU$77 at today’s FX rate, slightly less again at the time…

                      @UncleRico: Thanks, Uncle Rico.

Totally missed that deal. That is one amazing bargain for a flagship product released less than 5 months ago at the time.

I see Reolink cut off the supply once all their AU stock for the Duo 3 was almost depleted from that deal. Haha!

I vote @JURBA and yourself to be our (unofficial) OzBargain reps for Reolink. 🙏🙌😂
