    Is Extra's library different from basic? Can someone upgrade to Extra, get the games, downgrade to basic and still play? A bit curly

      No you need to keep the relevant sub tier active

      You need to stay subscribed to extra to keep access to extra games. Also games on extra get removed/rotated so you only have limited time access to them.

      Same I have not renewed the subscription from earlier this month in the hope that I can snag a better deal being unsubscribed (as in the past few years where they didn't offer any deals for those already subscribed on the top tier).
