    That's a lot of cams!

    • +3

Yeah, but the main selling point is storage size for many people…and the cheap unit, if you can do without the poe supply… which actually works better as then you can hey google, or alexa it -(when you plug the switch into your network rather than the back of the nvr)

amazing deal! no harddrive like the ones with lesser channels.. but you can put upto 3x16tb hard drives of your choice inside!.. i ended up paying about $302 31 March 2024 on ebay.. never seen them this low before.. seems like a good deal if you dont mind dishing out extra for hard drive. i might have to buy 1 more of these because of all the reolink camera deals this year i ended up buying about 30 cameras.. might give a set to family

With all the people (myself included) buying the 16tb enterprise drives, it was a no brainer….

Once it got past somthing like 8tb on my 8 channel unit i could no longer replay when a 16tb drive was installed… looking forward to having a few months of footage on this one.

I have 4 cameras and no NVR - was going to use Frigate - but at $230, far too cheap to pass up. Thanks OP!

    • Id still go frigate. AI detection is the bees knees.

  • considering the 8 Channel that only comes with 2TB hard drive is usually around $250.. this is good deal as this is way more longterm upgradable etc and you can get the harddrive you want.. though the 8 channel on ebay can be dropped to "AU $197.59 after applying discount at checkout. Show voucher code
Limited time only" at the moment.. would still rather this 32CH for the longterm upgradability being stuck at 2TB may be annoying in the future.

    • +1

The 8 channel can be upgraded to 6tb internal + 6tb external. Some people have reported 8tb working without issue.

    • I don't see any way to get the 8Ch for $197ish. With the 20% off code it comes to AU $303.99, and I've never seen it for around $250 as the usual price either.

      • AliExpress coupon plus reolink coupon plus coins gets it to $200.81 for me at the moment

Great find, I have been waiting on the 36ch to come back in stock for a few months!
Interesting that it only says it supports up to 12mp cameras, the one sold on Reolinks website says it supports 16mp. Same model number so it could be old specs maybe, but enough for me to pause until confirmed.

    • +1

i'm hoping that it says "supports up to 12mp cameras' because that specific advertisement was used from a time before they released their 16mp cameras etc, and the ebay poster didnt realise, and hopefully it still will support 16mp cameras etc. that is my assumption.

      • It definitely supports 16MP cams like the Duo 3.
Just make sure you have the latest firmware running on the NVR, and the 16MP cameras as well.

im not a pro at setting up security cameras.. for my reaolink 32CH nvr, i saw a youtube video that recommended i get a powered POE switch that supplies power to the individual reolink poe cameras i bought (each cameras Watt power draw can be found on their website). i looked around and the best bang for buck POE switch that supports the amount of cameras that i may hookup one day, was:

    YuLinca 10/100Mbps 26 Port POE Switch 300W
76% 5 star rating out of 345 ratings.
    on amazon.au for $193.93 on 2/4/2024

don't know anything about this company but it seemed like the right price, good ratings, and can power alott of cameras.

    from the official reolink website…

if anyone knows a better value for money solution than this?

    • did i need a power poe switch? or could i just have bought a non powered switch?.. i havent built my setup before. first time hehe.

      • The 32ch NVR doesn't provide power through its Ethernet ports. POE cameras are powered through the Ethernet cable so a POE switch is required. I believe typical setup is 4 x 8 port POE switches with each then plugging into each of the 4 ports on the NVR. You can probably do it with one POE switch provided it has the power output and bandwidth to power that many cameras. It will mean a lot more cable used though as each camera has to go back to the one central switch instead of a more local 8 port switch.

  • Would this work with existing micron poe cameras

  • Oh bugger! OOS! I was waiting for these to come back in stock.

  • Hope this comes back into stock :/

does this work with hikvision cameras?

  • +1

Marked oos, but suspect there will be more soon.

To those asking, apparently these only work with reolink cameras.

Id say given other pages list these as supporting 16mp cameras, this model most likely does too.

Reminds me of the guy from that A Current Affair episode with all the security cameras, barbed wire and flood lights.
