  • Not worth it, put the money spent on this trip in crypto or something else. Nothing of value the average investor is going to hear here

    • It's a free ticket. It's an opportunity for newbies to learn and for anyone to get any new and more info and connect with other like minded people.

      • Yes but assuming ur not from Sydney it's very not free

  • My life savings are in memes boys! Yolo!

What… no NFTs for a balanced portfolio?

  • anyone gone to this previously? Are there good giveaways and prizes to make it worth it?

    • dunno. looks like a shitcoin shilling event

    • Token airdrop at least (put your wallet address during registration). It's free ticket. After that you can walk around Darling Harbour or do something else around the City. Kids can play around near there like in front of McD and IMAX.

  • Maybe we can organise a hangout

    Anyone going today?
    Please report on freebies

    • Thinking of going 2moro. Worth turning up?

Just finished from Ozb meetup in Concord today :)

          Maybe I'll go there tomorrow.

One of the freebies is token airdrop :P Need a crypto wallet such as Metamask to receive it. You can put your wallet address now.

  • I had been there in the morning.
    A bit underwhelming.

Just the freebies from Binance were good.
    Some talks were pure garbage.
One guy - without naming him- he was running a managed crypto investment - was shilling Bitcoin and how it is the best thing since sliced bread and it outperforms every alt coin in the last six- seven years.
    That is bull$#it!
Surprisingly, there were a lot of people.
I personally preferred the last get-together on 15th Feb 2023 at the Squires Landing next to the Overseas Passenger Terminal in Circular Quay. There they had good food and drinks sponsored, and here it was just some novice entrepreneurs shilling their product. A crypto tax company didn't know their stuff.
Anyway, it was good exercise and had a nice lunch with my wife before returning back with the goodies.

    • What goodies did you get?

Over there I got free popcorn, coffee, big water bottle that can keep hot water, and other snack. There were some competitions to win cash like riding a bull machine as long as possible and other games. Register with some crypto exchanges to get cash bonus, etc.

          Doesn't seem worth it

@mr_asstight: It's okay for me. Good for getting more info, comparison, etc. There are companies that I didn't know previously. I took some photos too. The longest time winner that can ride on bull machine got $500, other amounts were available too depends on the rank. Also other games. Many people sat down to listen to some speakers there.

Can't complain for free ticket. I am pretty sure there are people who paid the ticket for this event …

            • @neoleo: The dive for prizes was the most insane competition there. Had a lifeguard in attendance and swimming gear provided. Top prize was 100K apparently.

              • @abc: Yeah I saw it too and people queued
