About time The Government did something for OzBargain

  • +4

would be nice if they brought back the og thedeal/thedeluxe codes 🙃

    • +3

      in this economy?

    • +3

Just did an order with “thedeal” code about a week ago. Will post next time I see it.

      • +3

thedeal code seems to be working, hopefully still works later when this deal starts

  • +1

It's spelt "arse colour" in Australia

Only bought my first black AS Colour Tshirt at TK Maxx and it's amazing, the colours don't wash away like the Adidas, Nikes etc… will definitely buy more 👍

    • +3

I've switched from Uniqlo to AS Colour for my standard shirts about a year ago. As mentioned the colours hold amazingly well. Additionally their sizing works much better for me (Uniqlo runs very short for slim builds) and the shirts are still holding their shape. A+

      • I am all in with UniQlo Supimas at the moment but have been meaning to try AS Colour. I use Medium from UniQlo and that seems to fit ok for me. Could use slightly longer sleeves

Are the AS colour size and fit similar?

        • +1

For me I've gone from XS at Uniqlo to a S in AS Colour.

    • 10/10 agree on AS colour shirt fit and quality - used to exclusively print on them when I did such creative endeavours. The Staple, Classic and Paper styles are all top notch depending on the fit and weight you like.

  • Thanks will give it a go

    • +1

Don't forget to grab some shirts from this deal as well.

  • The children models look so unhappy wearing the clothes…..😅

  • +3

Technically it's today… but it's pretty much tomorrow right?

One of the few brands to get a good rating in terms of ethical fashion according to Baptist World Aid: https://baptistworldaid.org.au/resources/ethical-fashion-gui…

  • How does the quality compare to Kmart?

    • +4

A whole lot better. Hold colour and stay in shape a lot longer.

    • +4

the other day i wanted a fresh white t-shirt to wear to lunch , just went with the kmart one.
      $8

wear it out once, and then retire it as pj shirt/ shirt to clean windows or car or other random things as it practically loses shape after a wash and dry cycle.

      • +1

Haha, the new t-shirt > pyjama t-shirt system. I do that too, love it 👍

    • These are all I wear. They last so long

  • Classic or staple tee?

    • Both are nice, I like the classic pocket tees

    • +3

They have this guide here: https://info.ascolour.com/the-journal/choosing-the-right-tee.

Classic T is a heavier material. I have both and they are both great depending on what you want.

I would lean toward the Staple Tee but I prefer lighter tees. My favourite tee is the Uniqlo Supima cotton.

    • Personal preference. I would pick Classic or Heavy, personally

    • +1

Classic a little looser and heavier -> Staple slimmer and narrower, mid weight -> Paper very slim and much lighter weight

    • +1

Classic holds its shape better, the collars on the staple tee doesn't hold up as well. Classic is thicker and looser

  • +4

The return policy is terrible - only exchange or credit on non-sale items. No exchange or credit on sale items.

I'll never buy from here again

    • +1

Yeah I just spotted that too. Makes online ordering pretty risky unless you know for sure that the specific item is a perfect fit for you. I love AS Colour and had a heap of sale items in my cart but I am now definitely reconsidering ordering anything at all.

      • Also 10% restocking fee if you're buying over $500

    • Yeah nah (profanity) that right off

  • How do these compare to Uniqlo?

  • -2

Never had t-shirts that rip so easily on the sleeves, suspect that their sale offers include factory seconds.

    • +1

Have you tried the "heavy" or thicker options?

      • Yup, those would tend to be smaller tears… the material has limited stretch so when the fit is slim it's seemingly easy to tear when removing the shirt.

Also catches more easily, but I suppose both are true for heavier cotton.

  • +1

Been wearing the classic-tee-5026 for years now and love them but I noticed the lighter colours come out more 'crispy' once washed and dried compared to the darker colours despite all having the same material composition

  • +1

My favourite time of the year. Thanks OP

  • advice on which one to get for a more skinny/slim fit shirt from this mob?

    • +2

The Organic has a specific "slim" fit which very flattering but are a little bit thinner/lighter weight. The Classic and Staple are "regular" fit which is still a good pretty good and mid weight. Recommend staying away from the "Heavy" which is oversized unless you're after that look.

      • +1

Normally I wear size S, is it the same with these shirt? I find their sizing confusing, body width 47cm ???

Organic Tee, preshrunk fabric for minimal shrinkage.

Im sold on that. I haven't found a organic T that not shrink.

        • +1

It's measured from seam-to-seam across the chest. On the Organic the S is about the same size as a Supima XS, but actually a good length for people of average height and above. On the Staple and Classic it's a little bit bigger than the Supima XS but not as big as a Supima S.

      • Cheers I do like the heavier quality but yeah most I’ve found are really baggy, I usually have to try and tuck the excess towards the back and retain it with belt

        • +1

I find the Classic sits somewhere between the Uniqlo Supima and the Uniqlo 100% Cotton shirts in terms of weight. Without the scratchy feeling of the Uniqlo 100% cotton and without the boxy appearance.

  • +1

How do these compare to Industrie?

    • Industrie are more fitted/figure-hugging, and a little thinner. AS Colour is more relaxed fit.

I wear small in Industrie, and medium in AS Colour, largely due to length of each.

AS is better quality imo, but industrie is still solid for the price.

  • Anyone know how their jeans are? I've got a few of their shirts that I'm happy with the quality of, but none of their pants.

  • These are great value, just make sure you get at least 180 GSM. Have a couple150 GSM ones with a hole in them after maybe ~10 washes. Could be a top loader washing machine issue too though.

  • So would people say their classic T are similar to Uniqlo's U range (currently also $14.90)?

  • Yes have been waiting for this. I get the Classic Extra Length ones. Very good quality, holds colour really well. Great fit.

  • I've switched from Bonds to AS colour undies and it's night and day difference. Much better quality

  • Where's the 4 pack of classic Tees? I would get that if it was there….

  • Thanks. Was looking to buy a white T-shirt to dye with excess mulberries

    • Also NSW RFS want me to wear cotton underwear so guess I’ll grab some of those too

  • How do you find their block tees?

Are classic tees comfortable to wear during summmer?

  • I message lived chat RE: returns and thats is what was said "If you order from the sale page then they won't be eligible for return. If you are ordering anything else but it has been discounted by the Black Friday sale then they will be fine to return" So youre fine if you get the wrong sizes

  • I add items to my cart to look at later, come back later and the cart is empty, even though I'm logged in. That's frustrating

  • +1

Do the tees run small or larger?
