  The asahi cans at $66 for 24x 500ml seems like a steal - take off the welcome 10% offer and then with the amex wowsers weekend sorted! Other retailers are $80+

    Assume this is inferior taste local brewed.
    Wouldn't buy these.

    Just finished last of 5 cases of Japanese brewed at slightly higher price. Details are now changed.

      This is listed as "Japan's No1 beer" - but brewed by CUB here.
      Same wording is shown on cartons, confusing some to incorrectly think it is brewed in Japan. Bottom of carton shows brewed here.

      Previously Deal by Lasoo listed Japan brewed import! Link in offer now goes to 410: GONE - no longer sold.

      If you've drunk Japan brewed Asahi Super Dry - you know the difference!

      I’ve found it frustrating trying to find an actual imported beer. So many of the big labels are brewed here under license. I ended up buying some Peroni red label recently as it was the only one brewed where it claims to come from.

        With Asahi Super Dry - Asahi bought CUB, & brews their own product here.

        It just doesn't taste the same as brewed in Japan due to different sourced ingredients etc.
