  Does this qualify for the $300 cash card? T&Cs state you have to buy the TV plus another sony electrical good for $99 or more. So it will depend on how Video Pro issue the invoice. If the web cam is charged at $0 then that will be a problem, however, if they charge the webcam at $99 or $199 you would qualify for the card.

  By the way this TV is available to Sony X members for approx $1360, but it would pay to purchase an additional item for $99+ so you get the $300 cash card. Also, if you purchase from Sony online you don't need to reedem the cash card, it's issued automatically, and the delivery is free.

  So if this qualifies for the cash card price is effectively $1287, if you are not going to use the camera you could sell on ebay for `$80

    You can claim $300 cash card by registering online with in 14 days of purchasing the product. you must receive the product before registration as need to enter TV serial number while registering.

  Damn!!!i bought this for 1700 from jb… would've saved 200 if as i had to buy blue ray player for 100 bucks..
  just for 300 cash card redemption…its valid for first 1500 claimants..but who knows if they can sell that much tvs during promotion ..but i guess its a good deal..oh..and the tv is great!..very happy with picture quality.

  I bought one the these last night in the Ebay sale, went and had a look at JB HiFi before hand and it looks like a nice set. Extended warranty was very reasonable to @ $149 for an extra 4 years.

  Hopefully they get them dispatched quickly :)

  Anyone know if you can just get cashout with these eftpos cards ? Or does it have to be used for purchases?

  Also Maddie can you advise who provides the extended warranty service?

    Hi jg86tsv - Videopro are the providers of the warranty. The good thing about our warranties is that they mirror the original manufacturer’s warranty which means anything that is covered in the first year will also be covered for the additional 4. The process is the same but instead of calling the vendor directly you call our repair agent, they will lodge the claim then you still deal with the local authorised repair (so no return to base) but Videopro basically pay the bill.

      Thanks for the clarification. Glad to hear it is not a 'return to base' warranty as that would frankly be a real pain. I assume all the info about the warranty will be sent along with the TV in writing?
