no thanks lmao
Why not? They should offer drive-thru as well like they do in the US.
Where I am , we got better coffee :)
@life is suffering: And? I can get better food than Maccas at any number of local places, but I still go to Maccas from time to time, for the convenience.
@Mondorock: Starbucks is more convenient that a small cafe?
I've been to starbucks in Australia a couple of times in the past few years, not only is the quality poor (even compared to stores in north america, there they tend to hire the kind of people who would work in a regular cafe here) but they're slow as anything.
All the good baristas focus on speed as well as quality. Absolutely no need to go to starbucks unless your blood sugar is low.
@freefall101: Some Starbucks are open until 11pm and offer drive-thru, so yes I'd say that's more convenient than a cafe.
@Mondorock: There are drive through starbucks in Australia? That's pretty neat. Maybe it's because I'm old, but if I'm sober and it's 11pm I'm just going to make a coffee at home.
If you mean in the US, if you're not going to Denny's at 11pm while drunk to drink unlimited coffee and eat a ridiculous amount of breakfast food you're not living the American dream.
Starbucks only expands its stores where there is heavy presence of the Asians community.
If that were true then there would be a Starbucks in Box Hill, and Clayton, but there isn't.
Better to support small Australian cafes IMO. Keep the money in Australia and arguably reward yourself with better coffee.
Easy to say, that we should all support local business instead of eating at Maccas, KFC, etc. We eat there for the convenience, not the quality.
Maccas is no more convenient than any restaurant these days. Fast food that isn't fast, what a joke.
I suppose you can order from any restaurant these days via Uber Eats and get it delivered, making it pretty convenient. But Maccas simply has restaurants beat due to the fact that many are open 24 hours a day, so if you're out and about late at night in the city, it's one of the only options available.
Yeah with most of that money going to some landlord.
They really need to expand this chain in Australia. There are hardly any locations.
