I have my expectations set low after last year's black friday and this year's prime day. But I will still keep an eye out for a bargain 🧐

I’d argue that substantial discounts were seen AFTER these events.

Well they had all this stock they expected to sell for black friday that didn't sell. So they had to have a real sale haha

Looking forward to a deal that’s the equivalent of 20% off at Kathmandu

Why is Black Friday over a two week time period?

    • +9

Because Amazon want to start it 10 days before the actual Black Friday.
Dragging out a 4 day sales event over 2 weeks evokes a feeling of lack of bargains.

My thoughts exactly. I bet there’s not even going to be any special deals on the actual Black Friday/ Cyber Monday. Just mediocre price reductions across the 14 days

    • The initial American concept of extending Black Friday to multiple days was because people took it too serious. It was a physical event and people had FOMO (fear of missing out). Many would get injured and it was a shit event in general.

Boxing Day is the Aussie equivalent and look at what those physical in-store "sales" have deteriorated to.

        • The sales never really end between black friday and boxing day

      • South Park did this well with the Walmart employees akin to the Watchers on the Wall 😂

    • Because changing a one day event into a multi week thing is a sign that discounts will be crap.

  • still waiting for a repeat of the $130 x600 deal…but i reckon it wont

  • It will be usual cheap Chinese junk "on sale" which you can get from AliExpress for half the price sometimes.
I just want a half price deal on the latest gen Firestick 4K Max.

  • Guys remember last year!! The real deals were AFTER Black Friday finished. They were much better..

  • Black Friday just means longer delivery times to me

  • I had to google the link as I was not able to see it from the homepage. Is anyone else facing the same issue?

pretty lame so far, seen a few good deals on things i dont need but it seems my watchlist of things that often drop during sales isnt budging… heres hoping something happens over the next few days

Anyone finding these sales underwhelming? Only a very select number of products are on sale. Not that great either.

  • I had a list of 20 things I've been waiting on a sale for throughout the year. Nothing on that list is on sale apart from The Last of Us Part 1 for $100. Very confused on this sale.

  • Are there going to be any delas on Amazon Prime membership?

    • just keep signing up to 1 month free trials if you're bothered.

      • Haha yeah

  • Every sale is more disappointing than the last, but they've really gone to new lows this time. Snoozefest.

  • Anyone know if I can still return an item that was purchased in july but still unopneded?
only reason being is that its cheaper now

  • I made a big purchase this time and was extremely disappointed because they incorrectly sent me someone else's package. It may be the courier having too many parcels to deliver because of Black Friday. Now I am $1000 out of pocket. Amazon asked me to wait for 2 days before I initiate a refund request. I am sure the person who instead got my package will be gladly keeping it.

  • i see samsung watch ultra 47mm went UP $50 for black friday sales hahaah. it was $849 last week at 35% off now its " $400 massive $$ off for $ 899"
