And yet no snake compression bandage? Odd for an Aussie inspired survival pack. I guess you could use the folding knife to chop the bitten leg off, that'll work too I guess. But then you'd need a tourniquet for that new wound… ah, that's missing from this collection too. Use the 4 x cable ties joined together in that case, job done.

Soooo cheap at Chemist Warehouse (not) $12… Snake Bite Bandage

Other useful thing to add Israeli Bandage Battle Dressing ($20 or still $12 for generic) for trauma injury.

@marcozmitch: Could add some gloves a resuscitation face shield if you're planning on helping anyone else.

        • Normal elastic bandages (which are fine and dandy for holding wound pads on) are stretchy in all directions. Alternatively, the compression ones for snake bites stretch just in one direction and are used to stop the venom moving up in your lymph so no, they aren’t the same. You can get ones that have little rectangles that stretch out to form squares so you know you have the right amount of tension evenly pulled across it. If bitten, that’s the one you really want, not the piddly crepe ones that come standard in basic first aid kits.

  • @OP Please read deal title guidelines, the title should be Product + Price (Delivery if applicable) @ Storename. I've fixed the title for you this time, Thanks

  • · LED torch

    But is this torch "tactical"…

  • Please confirm there are two fishing kits and two fire starter kits, as listed? Thanks

  • I live in Melbourne CBD close by to the Myers on Swanston Street. Please confirm I can use this kit there. Especially the fishing rods.

    • +2

Unfortunately the kit doesn't come with any IPAs or coffee, so you'll have to add your own bait.

    • Is that anywhere near Myer?

  • Interested in this but would like more details for the knife and flashlight. Being that they are the big ticket items.

  • This reminds of me of showbags and when they lump all the cheap crap they couldn't buy sell the year before and then claim a discount overall.
