TCL 98" C655 QLED 4K Google TV (2024) $2,605.00 (with $350 Trade-in Bonus) + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ Harvey Norman

860
TRADE350

The ad states: "Trade in your old TV & Save $350! Use Code TRADE350 in the cart"

Update: I spoke to my local store, they applied the discount over the phone, took $100 deposit and will deliver tomorrow. And also threw in free delivery and a slight discount on top $2580 delivered.

In regards to the old unit, store rep said there are no requirements. They said they would collect the old unit, but also said, they don't care about the unit. I suggested I would rather donate it and the store rep said to paraphrase 'Don't worry about it the old TV, you keep it and do what you want with it. We just do this to get people into new electronics;'

Had the same issue last weekend. Went to click and collect online and spoke to chat who suggested calling our local store. We did and were told you must bring in your old tv (didn’t state if it had to be working or not though)

Decided to get online to JB chat and got the tv we wanted for A LOT cheaper than what Hardly Normal were offering. If the tv is elsewhere I suggest price matching between JB or Good Guys

    • Appreciate you sharing your experience but do you have a figure you paid for the TV? That will help us know the price we could potentially get from JB.

So you might be best talking to with Harvey on the phone, unless you can convince JB to price match, $2945 seems to be the best price in the market without a trade in, so they may not match it.

It can even be a tv you pulled out of a trash heap they don't care at all (they don't even check on pickup), may as well just be an added discount. Deals really good, but only have till tomorrow for the trade in deals which expire and are currently overlapping with the other cyclical discounts on atm

I’ve got a 40 inch Sony TV that needs to be tossed in Noble Park if someone needs one to trade in… it’s literally going to the salvos or a skip at a GG/JB

  • $1k and I will get a pair and start my lab room :)

JB price matched the HN trade-in discount on a Sony without issues.

    • They wouldn't do it with the higher trade in deals however

Super deal at this price, having TVs of this size and this price available and not the scarce units during run out periods is incredible. The quality is good enough for most (passing a Harvey Norman store today there was several kids and their parents watching one of the spiderverse movies on one).

    Great post OP.

Interesting dimensions, it's saying 217.9W x 128.8H x 42D, must be the box and not the unit itself. Nonetheless, 245cm diagonal is fahkin' immense, you need a lot of wall real estate for this thing.

QLED is so close yet so far from OLED.

    • There are trade ins with some OLEDS too

Maybe for the 745…… but the 855 is so extremely close it doesnt matter.

  • Does anyone know the stand to stand distance? Want to see if it will fit my fit unit

    • About 1.7mtr

Missed seeing this deal as I jumped on the good guys one. Bummer

Guys just like to quietly point out the real hidden gem of a deal here is the Samsung 65 inch S95D for $3600. Sounds like a lot but it is the reference TV right now.

This is a better buy all day long. I know what I'd want to watch a movie on.

Definitely. Just take note it does have a matte finish and that can be a problem for some.

They never wanted my old tv either lol

    • Yeah I ended up giving mine to a friend.
