  • sh$% thats not bad.

      • +1

What happened? I would argue that the Goodwe is a superior inverter

        • I like both, but the Sungrow does cost more.

  • Is the pricing before or after STCs?

    • Thats after.

  • How are these Longi 440W compared to Jinko Tiger Neo 440W in terms of performance and efficiency?
And can I get the Jinko panels instead?

    • +1

      Here is the
      Jinko 440
      LONGi 440

Yes you can change to Jinko if you want - send me your enquiry and I'll cost it for you.

      • So which is better?

        • Too close to call. Both come from reputable, established brands. If you look at the datasheets - there is a slight efficiency edge to the Longi.

  • +1

Mmm this sounds tempting if my power bill is $410 a quarter thats only over 2 years ROI

    • +1

If you got the roof space for 15 panels then go for it.

    • +1

It won't knock out $410 worth of bill.

I'd say closer to $300, which means a roughly 3 year ROI, but still worth it.

      • Ok thanks for the info 👍

    • The ROI will depend on your circumstances to assess properly, but as 31mop has said, $300 is more realistic.

      • Do you use a type A RCBO with install?

        • No, we dont use RCBO's on solar. On this sized-system (6.6kW), we'd use a 32 amp Type C Breaker.

    great price!
Install two of them for a 13.2kWp system - I did last year, but cost 13k here in NSW at the time!
    (SG5.0RS x 2 and Longi Himo 5 x 32)

Good that prices are coming down
don't forget to add the S100 meter to monitor sself consumption on isolarcloud

    • fantastic..didn't know you could install 2 systems for a house

  • Thank you, Bleugh. cheers

  • How much (excluding battery) extra do you suspect it would be down the track to add the battery?

I don't want to get a battery yet and may add it, but wondering what the price is to get it from battery capable to battery ready (excluding the battery itself)

  • Is there any additional cost to use two strings (both MPTT inputs) - if shade could be a factor?

    • The inverter has two strings (2x MPPT), so on a normal install, both would used. There's no extra cost involved. If you're curious, send through an enquiry on the deal link, and in the comments, just say you mentioned possible shading at your place. Cheers

  • Is this QLD only or you can make this deal work in Melbourne or have any one that you recommend in Melbourne?
    Cheers,

    • This is for QLD only, unfortunately, I dont have anyone that I can recommend down there, sorry :(

      • All good @Scott-M, my in laws reached out to some company and they were quoted 21+ grand for 21 panels with a heat pump which I thought was a ridiculous amount. This is before the government rebate and they are left with close to 15 or 16 grand to pay out of pocket.

Does this sound like a scam or what?

        • +1

          Get another two quotes

        • +1

Yes, without knowing more of the details, straight up, that does not sound right at all.
