This promotional offer starts at 12am (AEST) 1st November 2024, and ends at 11:59pm (AEST) 2nd December 2024 ("Promotional Period").

The level of discount offered is based on the customer’s spending on work associated with an instantly priced logbook or basic service, and instantly priced select repairs or inspections booked only through a participating service provider on www.autoguru.com.au.

The term ‘select repair’ defines that the discount is only applicable to any instantly priced repair booked through www.autoguru.com.au, and excludes any repairs that cannot be instantly quoted through AutoGuru.

The term ‘instantly priced’ means you have seen an instant fixed price displayed in the search results and not an estimated price or received a quote from the supplier via email.

To qualify, the minimum service or select repairs must be over $150 inclusive of GST, and must be booked with participating service providers. Click here to see participating service providers.

The discount does not apply to windscreen replacements, battery replacements, roadworthy inspections or any additional service items (such as additional parts, accessories or additional labour), that our records indicate are not prescribed for your logbook, basic service or repair, or if arranged directly with a service provider.

The Promotion offer is not transferable for cash and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

The Promotion offer does not apply to a booking that has already been confirmed or serviced prior to the promotion period, and the offer cannot be re-used if the customer cancels a booking.

This Promotion is for genuine and private customers only and excludes fleet, government and wholesale customers.

The Promotion offer does not apply to a quote that is not booked during the promotional period, the booking must be requested and confirmed during this period for the discount to be applicable although the service date can be after the promotional period.

The discount code can be applied on the finalise page within the ‘promo code’ section or a red banner may also be displayed on a service provider’s listing in the bottom right-hand corner of their profile image in search results which will automatically apply the corresponding discount.

Standard Terms and Conditions of use also apply when making a booking for a service, select repair or pre-purchase inspection of your vehicle through www.autoguru.com.au.

AutoGuru Australia Pty Ltd adjudication on any matter pertaining to the Promotion offer is final and binding, and may, in its sole discretion, refuse to honour the offer if it suspects a customer has obtained it fraudulently.

With the crazy amount of mark up, customers will need more than the listed discounts to make it worthwhile.

Got a $250 quote for a Honda alternator replacement from my local mechanic, however, Autoguru is quoting me $893.58 for the same job

That model's weird expressions and odd clothes puts me right off using this company

I love Auto Guru, but I have never booked a service through them.

The best way to use the app and support the local business is to search for what you want and get the best price. Then ring the mechanic directly and tell him you would book through Autoguru, but know they take 1/3 of the fee. If they split the difference, then you will book with them direct. Works every time.

If you think Auto Guru does anything about complaints, look at Product Review. They regularly remove negative complaints and side with mechanics in disputes.

    • Works every time.

Didn't work for me last time I tried. Local mechanic couldn't match or beat AG's price.

      • Are you contacting the mechanic with the lowest price on autoguru direct?

        • Yes

          • @CVonC: That is strange. I have never met a mechanic who prefers to get less money by cutting out a middleman. But guess every profession has a few
