    https://www.energy.nsw.gov.au/households/rebates-grants-and-…

Scheme started Nov 1 for battery sizes ranging 2-28kWh

CEC approved battery list which includes this B500 from SHENZHEN POWEROAK NEWENER CO LTD

  • got anything for 3-phase?

    • +2

      Thanks for your inquiry.

For 3-phase, you can go with AlphaEss, Sungrow, Tesla, and BYD batteries.

For a detailed quote, can you please shoot us an email at [email protected] or reach out to us at 1300 211 230.

  • How’s this compare to the Voltx 10kw battery selling in some areas for $5900?

    • +2

Voltx is a small manufacturer and BLUETTI is a premium brand.

For entry-level battery, we have AlphaEss battery at the same price of Voltx , and AlphaEss is a larger manufacturer …

    • Any links?

  • Thanks for your reply.

From CEC approved battery list, the B500 battery brand is BLUETTI as a Pre-assembled Battery System (BS).

The BLUETTI Home Battery is a combination of EP760(battery inverter) and B500(battery unit).

Good to see more battery deals coming out

Could you tell us the warranty on both the inverters as well as the batteries themselves please? thanks

    • +1

To be eligible for NSW battery incentives, the solar battery must carry a 10-year warranty, guaranteeing at least 70% usable capacity retention after this period.

Both the inverter and battery have 10-year warranty.

      • what's the guaranteed min capacity after 10yrs?
        LG is 90%

  • So are we getting to worthwhile ROI periods yet?

    • You not keeping a spreadsheet?

I don't think so yet. They'd be screaming about it when it does.

      Hi impoze,

      Thanks for your inquiry.

Each 10kwh battery (regardless of battery brand) can generate about $1,200 worth of benefits from your energy bill per annum.

If the battery is combined with an EV plan from an energy retailer, the benefit will be much higher.

      Not really

Australian government energy schemes are always exercises in obfuscation:

      1. Prices on Bluetti's own site are exactly the same as listed in this "deal"
      2. As OP rightly notes, installation costs are not included if you buy directly from Bluetti
      3. OP is also "gifting" you an extra product

So looking deeper at the biggest option:

      20kwh BLUETTI Home Battery (1xEP760 + 4xB500) $16,599 Incl Installation
      Gift include : EP500Pro Solar Power Station | 3,000W 5,120Wh Valued $6,299.00

      1. The EP500Pro is not worth $6299, it is currently $5199 direct from Bluetti (woops)
      2. OP is earning on both ends - cashing in credits/rebates etc from the government to provide the "free" install plus buying the product from Bluetti at wholesale cost which is cheaper than the website retail price

TLDR, if OP scrapped the "gift" and just offered an installed 20kWh system for $10K, that would be a real deal

        Thanks for your reply.

It's unlikely to see 20kwh BLUETTI Home Battery at $10k installed in the near future unless BLUETTI drop its battery price heavily.

We are not allowed to sell BLUETTI battery at a price lower than the official website price (just like Tesla battery price on Tesla official website).

We offer installation work and battery gifts instead.

    • it depends on your energy consumption & when that is.

One important thing to ask is will the inverter & battery work during a blackout? Most don't, as most inverters actually shut down during a power outage so not to send power out into the grid & electrocute those repairing it. So you need an isolating Inverter & a battery that works with one. I've got a SolarEdge which does that but only with LG or SolarEdge batteries, Tesla one's won't work in an outage even if the inverter is an isolating one.

we've had our inverter bugger up and wouldn't allow the the battery to discharge. my bill went up by ~$120 in a month including that wonderful Energex (Qld) demand charge (mandatory for solar on smart meters) for $43.5 because in a single 30min period between 5-9pm we consumed 4kw . it's never been higher then $5.50 since we got a battery.

  • Are these also expandable so we can add more battery packs down the line?

    • Hi impoze,

Thanks for your inquiry, and the battery is expandable to add more battery packs.

How's the connectivity on this? - can it integrate to Home Assistant?
Does it work with some of the existing integrations to Home Assistant?

or at least the are there open MODBUS / data ports or an open API available so someone can integrate it?

  • +3

How about keep your EP500 and give me $6k off the 15kWh battery.

    • Same please

    • Thanks for your inquiry, it's unlikely to see 15kwh BLUETTI Home Battery at $8k installed due to government incentives worth less than $2k.

      AlphaEss 10kwh, 13kwh, and 20kwh batteries are a lot more cost-effective.

Let me know if you are interested.

  • What's the use case of the EP500 if someone already has a home battery? If there was a power outage wouldn't a cheap lead acid UPS serve the same purpose until the home battery kicked in? It looks way too big to actually be considered portable.

  • What's NSW kicking in to get these sorts of prices?

Anything in Vic that isn't a solar vic loan?

  • BLUETTI Home Battery works with ANY existing Single-phase residential home solar system?

How, my Fronius single phase inverter which is now 7 years old doesn't accept batteries so i find this statement a bit puzzling. In order to accept a battery you need the Hybrid model.

Can you explain the above, i don't think its as seamless as you make out.

    PS…Bluetti are excellent.

    • Hi dogzilla,

BLUETTI Home Battery works solar system as far as your house has single-phase power.

It works with your Fronius single-phase inverter as far as the Fronius is still working.

  • Green IOT installed my Sungrow battery (for/through Nectr) and did an excellent job on the switchboard, wiring, cleanup and config. And sorted a blown fuse a year later for me too.

    • Hi Bruce, Thank You For Your Valuable Feedback.
