5G Coverage and Recommendation for 5G Mobile Network

Hi All,

Could you please share your experience with 5G network, its coverage, experience and which 5G mobile network provider would you recommend. Looking for a good value 5G mobile network provider with good coverage. I live around the North Kellyville, NSW, 2155 around (North Kellyville Square) the coverage is worse not sure if its due to my provider. I am using everyday mobile from woolworths the use part of telstra network. when indoor you absolutely have no reception/ no mobile signal bar and when outdoor only receives 1-2 bars signal strength most of the time 1 bar strength. Looking to change provider around this black Friday, hopefully finding good deals.

Please share your suggestions and experience with the coverage from your provider. Could I also request you to mention if you are also living in North Kellyville, NSW, 2155 around (North Kellyville Square). This will help me to choose a provider which has good coverage around the place I live. Thank you so much.

Please also post any good deals you find for the mobile network provider. Thank you. Cheers!

  • when indoor you absolutely have no reception/ no mobile signal bar and when outdoor only receives 1-2 bars signal strength most of the time 1 bar strength

Have you tried another phone to confirm it isn't your phone?

    • yes the phone is not the problem as i have another phone using same everyday mobile have same issue, when i say no reception indoor and 1-2 bar signal strength i meant around North Kellyville, (North Kellyville Square). I have full signal bar when i am in Chatswood, 2067. My sister use some other mobile network provider she get ok reception (Think she is with the provider who uses Vodafone infrastructure). I think its issue with the everyday mobile coverage. Just looking for to change the provider on a good deal. What do you think of this is tpg good? link

      • Okay, that's very interesting. Before jumping into a long-term deal and spending big, maybe try some cheap options. Maybe try Amaysim for $10, which is Optus. Clearly, there might be an issue with Telstra in your area.

Try a cheap solution with a random number, if it works then transfer your number across.

        • yes i think until a telstra tower is made link Thanks to @FullPrice its better to use vodafone for the time being or any provider who uses vodafone network. Which vodafone provider would you recommend if you have any in mind. Thank you.

      • Watch out as Telstra used to only allow MVNO to only use part of the 5G network years ago.

I would grab a cheap 5G sim form Belong, VF and the no network from Colesworth and give them a go to see how the reception is. The other option is to ask you friends in the area if they have a 5G phone and what network they are on and then ask them what they get for reception.

        • what do you think of felix sim only plan the 50GB Plan felix.

Is it good and if you have used it or have any idea. I think Optus and Vodafone will have no issue in my area, i hope they do use the tower when they say they use their network. Telstra is building a tower around may 2025 so probably will look towards Telstra provider next year.

  • do you have NBN and does the phone do VoWIFI for home use

    • the building is with supa networks can only choose from these ISPs List of ISPs

    • That is fine for home, but clearly doesn't resolve the out and about issue.

    • Thank you

  • Optus branded SIM - good coverage and speed Baulkham hills, Parramatta, through Kellyville and Bella Vista both indoors and out

Boost (dual SIM) coverage is slow and patchy until you get past Parramatta.

    Decent Value

  • Telstra coverage would be terrible in the area.

They have plans to add a tower in the future

Optus or Vodafone should both be excellent depending on local congestion.

    • Thank you for this. Would we be able to check like when they will start build a tower here and website to check the date or proposed plan and completion time. Thank you. I think for the time being going with vodafone or providers which uses vodafone network is best in my case. which vodafone providers would you recommend if you have any experience with them. Thank you.
