Can I play tennis with these
Yes
Is that why only sell you 2 at a time.
Do you bike ?
Is for the stink
As per the same page:
Only insect zappers that are powered by a battery source of 6 volts or less and have the electrified grid shielded to prevent contact by a person are permitted to be imported.
The one being sold by Kogan has a battery voltage of 3.7V and has a 'Triple-layered net design' to protect user from being shocked.
Sounds like 3.7V also protects the insect from being shocked
lol this was great
Back in the day these had no protective covers, new ones are fine to bring in
Nikola Tesla used to regularly charge his body with thousands of volts. 3.7V is nothing. He didn't use a net at all either.

Illegal in Australia
No, just importing them is prohibited…
What isnt?
not all are illegal here, as per the exception list, the battery ones we brought have a mesh to stop contact with people and are low voltage battery operated. having said that the mesh is easy to remove then they make for awesome fights in the family.
Got one
You're missing one
The flies deserve all 3000 volts
If everyone bought one and used it while out in public perhaps collectively we could decimate the fly population.
That would still leave 90% of the flies, which is too many flies.
Aussie salute
In my limited experience, found the batteries in these ones go to hell if you don't keep them charged.
Switched to the racquets that use 2x AA and they lasted ages.Depends on quality I guess. I paid $35-40 on mine from Amazon (no doubt dropshipped from Aliexpress but I needed it quick) but I Charge it once a year, not because it runs out but I just thought it was time for a top up lol
Can you please link us?
@MeesusEff: Noice, thanks!
@Lord Ra: I see a few reviews where it says it stopped working after a while. I found that if I store it against stuff then the mesh bends and stops? The circuit or something. I just prod around with a wooden chopstick to where I see it touching the outer layer back to the middle and it works again (you'll hear this little zzz sound while you press it). I've had it at least 4 years, still good
@MeesusEff: I keep mine on top of the fridge, so nothing touches it. Do I'll be right. Thanks!
You were too lazy to sleep at night, while we were all fighting hard with the damn mosquitos army
Where did you get those ones?
I bought a pair for about $14 on eBay 2 years ago, they still work.
Something like https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/153697725845
Def get 2. they work , but they don't handle drops or whacks very well.
Shipping is $15.99 to Tas at least without Kogan first.
Edit: similar charges for other post codes too

I am actually a master catching flys with my left hand for some reason. I am right handed. what a skill to have right ?
what a skill to have right ?
I thought you said left?
That doesn't sound right
Can you catch flys in chopsticks? That would be more impressive.
Thanks OP, great Xmas stocking stuffer.
Shocking deal
Fore!

Came here just to read the Neg comment and maybe get a laugh, but was dissapointed to say the least.
That's not correct, I've had a number of Kogan First 'free trials' including for this purchase. As long as you cancel within the 14 day window you're golden.
Thanks Op. ordered with free trial. :)
I swear I saw these in the Australian custom confiscated cabinet at the airport as banned items.
The occasional big fly that enters our house have so much speed that I sometimes can only hear them and can't see them. It even gets difficult to spray onit directly because of how fast they are. Will take a lot of skill to hit one with one of these zapping racket
The trick is to observe their flight path, and intercept from opposite direction. Don’t chase them, let them come to you.
Don’t forget to tighten grip just before impact, those big guys pack a wallop
Wear a sausage around your neck, lay on the lounge and you are officially winning at life.
The Kogan ones fall apart pretty quickly, they aren't sturdy at all.
These are quite good and have lasted me two years so far - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/235409149217
Real deals on the comments!
Found this on ebay, 2 electric zappers for less than $15. Uses AA batteries too so can put my Eneloops to good use.
received mine today… I went on an absolute rampage 😔
Can't complain too much for $10, but one of them after killing 10 flies has already broken, abysmal quality.
Don’t. Lick. Them.
