$100 Gift Cards for Apple - What Does It State on The Apple Invoice When Redeemed?

Hey Guys - Want to know if anyone has had a similar experience.

I want to use 20x $100 apple gift cards at Apple which I am yet to purchase through CBA reward points. I’ll be purchasing a laptop so essentially using gift card plus credit card and or cash.

However, when receiving an invoice where a gift card was used, does anyone know if it’s just a Mastercard /cash transaction? Does it state I’ve paid with a gift card?

  • I ordered the Macbook air today using gift cards. I am yet to receive the invoice but the order says I used $xx of on gift cards and $xx using credit card.

If you're looking for an invoice for TRS purposes (like myself), gift cards can be used according to their website.

    • Not for TRS. This is for salary packaging the laptop so instant write.

  • The invoice will show “Credit Card” as the payment method, look for it under the Terms column. I’ve been buying my Apple stuff using gift cards and it has always shown the same. No issues with salary sacrifice, TRS claims, etc.

    • Legend! That’s what I wanted to know. Also, you can’t use the Australian Education Union in store can you?

      • Yes you can. The invoice doesn’t mention education store.

        • How does one tell the Apple attendant about the Australian education union and obtaining the discount?

  • I second darthsparow, been doing SS for years without any problem.

  • Redeem the gift cards into your apple account then you can order online using the education store and its price (if eligible) and collet instore. You cannot purchase instore if you redeem the gift cards into your apple account.
