These are working great with 9/12v USB - DC cables

saves having to use an outlet

  • Great price! An extra $8 for the newer model https://www.amazon.com.au/TP-Link-Detection-Control-High-Def…

got 4 of these with the last deal for $30 each, they are really great for the price, nightvision is really good as well but only to like 15m maybe ish, but they arent obnoxiously bright IR leds. all round would recommend they work offline as well if you need it they just record to the micro SD card

  • i hope they fix the home assistant integration.

    • What's wrong with it? I just bought two of the 2K model (https://www.amazon.com.au/TP-Link-Detection-Control-High-Def…) after checking Home Assistant works with it…

        They'll RTSP no worries.

but beyond that .. 2 way audio, ptz, etc, etc - nope unless you downgrade firmware

TPLink claims they'll release something to fix it this month - November, but it's yet to be seen.

        • They are releasing 1.4.2 in a couple of days. I found a few issues with the c210 and they fixed it on my cameras. it will go public shortly.

          • @Man10United: oh nice!
so they fixed issues on your camera, and that also fixed the HA integration? awesome.

            • @FoxJump: I haven't tried the HA integration since I hardly use it - I use blue iris and then pass what's needed to HA. The issue was PTZ crashing the camera when blocked from the internet. From what I heard they have more fixes on this fw.

              • @Man10United: ptz is part of onvif profile s which the cameras support oob, so maybe it will also fix ha, but it also might not

Be careful if you're using Azure for backup

    • Not sure if that’s entirely relevant. I don’t know the technical details but the article says routers were compromised. This is not a router and will sit behind a router.

Also, is Azure aimed at individuals or businesses? The hacker group was/is targeting businesses/governments etc.

A good reminded to keep your router firmware up to date.

  • Bought the C225 for $45 from a 3rd party seller on Amazon instead. Surprisingly cheap.

  • Thanks OP, bought 2
