I've got a stash of those cheap pink 1601 size 7 balls - @ $7.50 they are great for outdoor/backyard court. Get $50 worth in the cart to get the free shipping.

Once the grip goes, deflate it / bin it, then grab a new one out. https://molten.com.au/products/1601-series-basketball-black-…

That BG2000 was also a really good ball for outdoor use - unfortunately only available in size 5 now.

  • Have previously picked one of these good deals up click and collect in Brisbane. Good deal thanks OP

  • genuine question: how much better of these compared to a kmart rubber ball?

    • For outdoor use, the molten rubber balls are great provided you get them at a good price ($7.50 is crazy cheap). For indoor use, you want to get the best ball you can afford - e.g. Molten BG4000 - and write your name all over it to prevent someone stealing it :)

Looking back at my gmail, I've put 9 separate orders in since 2020 to Molten for basketballs.

In that time (and probably 40+ basketballs), I think I have had one basketball that never maintained inflation and went flat overnight. If you leave them out in direct sunlight for days-on-end, they may lose a slight amount of air.

I personally wouldn't spend more than $20 on an outdoor basketball - and just get their balls on clearance - often the traditionally 'girly' colours that they must have a harder time selling.

  • Great timing, just built a little backyard court and need to stock up!

  • A molten rubber ball doesn't sound like it would bounce very well…
