Delivery Unlimited: Annual Plan $59.50 for the First Year (Ongoing $119/Year, New and Returning Subscribers) @ Woolworths

931

Just spotted in my woolies app - 50% off Delivery Unlimited Plan. Total annual plan cost is $59.50 for me OR $15/month. I don’t have much experience with woolies’ delivery service but if it’s anything like their direct to boot service, I would be expecting a lot of missing items/groceries and a lot of hassle. Still, managed to save quite a decent amount with the half price rewards membership, so I’m tempted to give this a go to save a trip and some more time.

Key benefits include:

Free Delivery on Woolworths orders*
On Same or Next Day Delivery Woolworths orders over $75*. Save up to $15 per order. Bag fees apply.

    • Update - I can see the option for the $59.50 first year but there's a note saying that I have an active subscription and the below plans aren't available for me. Selectable but the subscribe button is disabled. I have to reactivate my subscription at the $119 per year rate via the manage my subscription link.

Interestingly, I ended my Everyday Extra plan which was due for renewal end of last month. Have just subscribed again now at the $35 annual plan and their email to me explicitly welcomed me back to Everyday Extra.

I have been using it for the last year and have found it to be mediocre. Some of the points that I do not like are:

    • Lazy outsourced delivery drivers who refuse to bring the shopping to my third level apartment door. Or who are unable to follow simple instructions provided.
    • Items that are available in sore but not online. Someone on the Wokeworth's complaints FB page got the chat person to admit that the store manager blocks out certain products in store for online purchases, because they want there to be enough stock for in store customers.
    • The $75 minimum spend to receive free delivery (way too much for a 1-person household).
    • Yes the uber ones are particularly bad and lazy

  • $2 bag fee, might as well add on $104 a year if doing a shop once a week. Will probably be twice a week factoring in forgotten items. Not worth it at all.

    • It’s worth it for not having to go to the supermarket and being able to meal plan and budget easier in my household

  • deal is live now it seems

  • Checking the terms and conditions it seems likely that most people who signed up via the Black Friday deal last year will be able to cancel the auto subscription and then re-subscribe for this year. Terms and Conditions state:

    50% Off Annual Plan
50% off annual plans offer period runs from 00:01 (AEDT) 06/11/24 until 23:59 (AEDT) 19/11/24. This offer is only available to new Delivery Unlimited subscribers, or previous Delivery Unlimited subscribers who do not currently have an active Delivery Unlimited subscription.

My subscription from last year expires on the 15th of November, so I'll have 4 days to resubscribe for 50% off from the sounds of it. Hopefully others are in the same boat.

  • Are the online prices the same as in store prices these days? I remember years ago when delivery started everything was like 8% higher which turned me off.

    • Prices seem to be the same online as my local store. There are some 'online only' specials available when purchasing online too.

  • my sub ends on the 24th…. nooooooooooooo
well that sucks… I guess I am shit out of luck? :(

  • 50% off annual plan offer runs from 00:01 (AEDT) 06/11/24 until 23:59 (AEDT) 19/11/24. Offer valid for new and returning subscribers without an active subscription only.

Sweet, cancelled my renewal - it ends on the 16th, just snuck in.

  • +2

Decided to jump on live chat and they were able to terminate my sub early… so now it lets me sub again :) so will do that next time I'm doing an order!

    • Thanks for the info. Just did the same thing.

      • Did that work instantly? Being able to sign up again and access the discount pricing? Do they refund unused membership or you just lose it? Worth it in my opinion either way!

        • Yep mine was cancelled instantly and I was able to sign up again. I didn’t get any refund as my yearly membership was expiring on 21/11.

    • Thanks for the tip, this worked for me today too and I was able to sign up to the half price deal straight away after the customer support person terminated my subscription early.

  • Now I got a boost of 50% in my Rewards app, but it is useless and not working. My subscription runs out 26/11. I tried to cancel and reactivate but it shows full price.

  • Does the 2x edr points from this subscription and 2x edr points from the everyday extra stack? So effectively 4x edr?

    • +1

No, for both it's extra points on the base points earnt.

If you earn 150 points on your shop (say), you get another 150 from the delivery subscription, and another 150 from the everyday extra subscription.

It's a bit misleading as 2x refers to base points + additional points.

  • Just received an email from Woolies. My subs is cancelled and will expire 26.11.

    Hi Thrifty Dan,

a whole lot more value just landed at your door.
Get 50% off your next year of Delivery Unlimited when you reactivate your annual plan.*
    That's a whole year for only $59.50 (normally $119)!
Simply reactivate your Delivery Unlimited annual plan by Tuesday, 26 November and your 50% discount will be automatically applied. Cancel anytime.

You can go on live chat and get them to end it early, then you can sign up again before the promotion ends :)

  • I didn't need to do a thing thankfully.

We're glad to have you as a Delivery Unlimited subscriber and hope we can continue to help you save on regular deliveries for another year. To show our appreciation, for the next 12 months you can enjoy Delivery Unlimited for half price ($59.50/year instead of $119.00/year).

To continue saving, you don't have to do a thing. Your annual subscription will automatically roll over for another year on 25 Nov, 2024 unless you tell us otherwise.

  • My Delivery Unlimited expires on 28 December 2024. This promotion ends on 19 November 2024.

My account page states the following…

    Any Day, Annual Subscription
    Start date
    28 November, 2023
    Annual payment amount
    $59.50 next 12 months, $119.00/year thereafter

    Auto-Renewal date
    28 December, 2024
We'll remind you before and you can cancel auto-renewal anytime via your account.

What can I do to get another 12 months worth of Delivery Unlimited at $59.50?

    Thank you

      • Yes thank you but getting them to end earlier than 28 December 2024 will mean I forgo the amount initially paid for the Delivery Unlimited last year between now (16 November 2024)and 28 December 2024 and the new charge of $59.50 will apply from today (16 November 2024).

Was hoping there was a way to pay just $59.50 from 28 December 2024.

        Annual payment amount
        $59.50 next 12 months, $119.00/year thereafter

I'm just a bit confused about the above statement in my account. Does it mean I will only get charged $59.50 from 28 December 2024?

  • Almost forgot to re-subscribe - luckily a near empty bag of frozen corn reminded me!
