Which one is better for chicken bones? Occasion other small beef bones. The 7 or 8?
it depends on how much strength you want to put through it. the heavier it is the more power youll get
So 8" is 1kg? and the 7" is lighter so not better?
they'll both do the same job. its just how much strength you want to use.
the main thing is handling so if you go to a knife shop to hold it, you can feel the difference in weight
Time to cook some soy chicken
I have one of these. It’s a good knife. Haven’t had to sharpen it yet and it still cuts well.
Any recommendations of a chopping board to go with it? Have some thin plastic sheets with slices in em that I'm looking to replace
I have one of these and do note that this is not a meat cleaver. I wouldn't be cutting through bones with this. This is more of a vegetable cleaver.
Anyone has a review on the 7-inch heavy duty cleaver knife?
I bought the 9" for kicks. Super front heavy and hard to pinch grip due to the sharp choil and spine. Three finger grip didn't help, it's just too bloody long. Stock edge was wedgie and needed thinning asap. Apart from the cons, steel is decent for a stainless. I pull it out often on large produce, noodle, etc
Can you sharpen these in the usual little sharpener blocks you pull the knife through? Double bevel?
Also keen to know this.
They ruin your knives
