    • Looks the same nice

Nice find. Amazon link is actually showing $175 for me.

      • centrecom for $159 still cheaper if you are in Sydney and just go there and pickup

  • Comes up as $175 for me.

    Amazon Prime member in Melbourne.

Tried 4K 120 and 144hz, I think that’s enough for me, especially with OLED.

    • +4

Nice, flexing on us mere 1080 plebs.

  • is this or OMEN bettter?

    • +4

OMEN is IPS which is an instant win over VA in my books

  • +3

No where does it say it's IPS, it's VA as well as the centrecom link btw.

27GS50F-B is the model number and is VA according to multiple sites.

  • +4

FHD only, will look a bit ass at 27 inches.

    • +1

A bit? Even on 24 inch fhd is borderline

  • +3

    FHD? no thanks

  • Is this ok for excel spreadsheets and YouTubing and Netflix while WFH?

    • +1

if you have to ask, then yes, it'll be fine for you

  • +2

spend the extra $30 and get IPS 1440P

    • +2

      Which model is that?

  • +1

    $175 for 1080p 27" is criminal

$175 for 1080p 27" VA is basically just robbing you blind

    • I'd rather have VA

      • +1

I'd rather not have 81ppi either way

  • can't we set the resolution to 2560x1440 for this monitor?

    • +6

Might as well make it 7680×4320 while you're at it

  • 1080p, yawn

  • -1

    @ 27" gaming, there's is SO-much manipulation by the gaming-industry that commentators are oblivious by their influence, 1440p & 60+ FPS…really & how much extra-enjoyment ?
    There's always outliers.

    • Thinking of using this as secondary monitor for WFH but discouraged by 1080 resolution.

    • If you have ever used 1440p and >60Hz displays you’d know the difference.
Both make a noticeable difference even outside of gaming.
If you’re content with 1080p 60Hz then good for you. Personally wouldn’t buy a monitor that’s less than 144Hz or a 27” that’s less than 1440p. The price difference is worth it without a doubt in my mind.

      • You're are the gaming-industry favourite-sons & they need many like you…otherwise the industry will die.

        I have tried 1440p-gaming @ gaming-lounge & I can't justify TWICE the price @ 24" monitor…each-to-their-own.

Then there's the hardware-upgrade to handle 1440p…leaked of 5090 is on the net & gamers who were satisfied with their 4090 are now wondering…there's NO-end to cravings.

The big-question is what did-you-do (or WILL-do) to satisfy the endless-cravings…🙏☸

        • I think 1440p is the sweet spot with a substantial upgrade to visual clarity over 1080p while not being overly demanding like 4K gaming.
For 24" I would recommend 1080p though, the higher resolution isn't as appreciable on a smaller display.
Still would recommend 144Hz though but as you say each to their own.

        • I see your point on how chasing better graphics, bettter framerate, better resolution becomes an expensive and futile exercise but as with most things, the middle ground offers the best value.

  • I had assumed it was 1440p…

  • id get an IPS around this price

  • id spend the extra $45 and get a KTC-H27S17 1440p 180Hz HVA 120% sRGB

    • cant see any for $230

      maybe black friday sales

  • Price has dropped again on Amazon (slightly)

Centrecom sells this for $159 if you want to pickup and save a little more otherwise postage fee makes it more expensive than Amazon.
