A used Kirby Avalir 2 is about that price on ebay, I'm not sure how it stacks up but my carpets where clean and smelled nice after the Kirby rep came by for a demo. No I didn't buy one and the rep didn't try to sell it to me afterwards, so I must have given off poor person who just wanted their carpets cleaned for free vibes.

I don't recommend to use Kirby as all your house content will also be vacuumed into oblivion.

    Shi* brand

  • Are people buying one of these and getting rid of their vacuum? Or would it be ideal to have both? I just bought a Dyson v15 within return period so contemplating.

    • I usually do a regular vaccuum first but we have a dog that sheds a lot. If you don't have pets, carpet or rugs then I imagine this would suffice.

    • It's definitely not a vaccun replacement. As others mentioned, we regularly vaccun but mop like once or twice a week.

    • I find it ideal to have both. This doesnt do small or narrow crevices / car. I still have to use the dyson for quick jobs especially since we have little kids and dogs.

Definitely recommend getting this though, saves so much time when wanting to have nice squeaky clean floors.

    Go with the steam one?

We have one, we really like it. It is kinda like a vacuum. It will pick up anything smaller that a bread tag. It is a lot faster than vacuuming and mopping and it leaves the floors a lot cleaner.

    • What about grout? Do you find you need to go over the same spot multiple times to remove dried dirt?

  • +1

Yes sometimes if there is something stuck to the.floor the nice thing is that it works.with rotating brushes so it actually scrubs the floor. And it is also washes the brush as you go so you are not cleaning with a dirty brush

  • This doesn't do carpets right? Or does it? Anyone tried?

    • +1

It doesn’t it’s a hard floor washer . Tried it before not that good on carpet but on floors it’s amazing

  • It was $578 on prime day

  • I really wanted this model as I’ve used it at my friends’s place before but I eventually ended up with the Dreame H12 pro after a lot of research, happy sith my choice.

    • How much did you get yours for? Also tossing up between this and the Tineco

      • $600 prime day price

  • why wouldn't You get one of these Bissell vacuum steam cleaners for $269?

    https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B074JF68Y3

I had one years ago on wooden floors and tiles. it was heavy but it was great because I cut cleaning time. not quite by half, but by a fair bit.

    • Steam is great but there are no cordless steam mop atm. Tineco also makes the steam version of S5 and its not cordless which is why S5 Steam is much cheaper than S5 Pro.

If you want to compare with Bissell its gotta the the Crosswave which also wireless but also can do carpets/rugs.

    • Can the Bissell vacuum wet solids and liquids?

      • not puddles of water/vomit
