    ATL? The G squad

  • +8

Those prices hitting the G spot

  • +4

    Damn that g squad tempting

    • +16

G-Shock Classic is awesome too, I own one. Battery is known to last over 10 years depending how often you use the backlight.

Here is a pic of it on my wrist.

      • +1

        Hello Rock. The Rock

      • haha never gets old.
Arms like the Rock's would help you pull this watch off well.

  • That squad has a super cool colour scheme. If it wasn't a squad I would have jumped on it (I'm disinterested in the fitness stuff).

    • +1

Easy to ignore all that shit and run with Bluetooth off in Airplane mode. The battery should last 2-3 years then.
I got the blue GBD200, great displays.

      • This is what I do with a GBX100. I haven't even bothered pairing it with a new phone.

        • Exactly, the move app is poo, too slow and basic, smart watches aren't casios forte. The Casio Watches app is better for time sync and configuring settings, for models that support it.

  • +1

Most annoying thing about these watches is the fact you can't change the date format from US (mm/dd) to (dd/mm)

    • -1

      Freedom Units suck

    • +2

      Cheers. Saved me $1289.

    • Not too many watches do. Japanese date format is YYYY/MM/DD. The newer 5600 solar watches (with led illumination) have European date format.

    • I actually prefer DD on the peripheral, like at three in a traditional dial

  • +2

Gbd-200 has replaced all my other G-Shocks and Baby-G's because of the great MIPs screen readability (almost 60 yo eyes 😂) and its vibration alarm. All connectivity turned off.

  • Looks like a cool watch. I'd buy one if I was a watch guy.

    • +3

Stop looking at watch posts then because that's how the addiction starts.

      • Haha, nah I'm immune. I can't stand having things around my wrists. I really like the square watches that have a lot of readable information displayed. They seem very functional.

  • Casio website is also selling these for this price.

    Cool watch btw 👌

    • +4

I've mentioned "$20 off 1st App Purchase" 3 times & linked to the original post so not sure what's misleading? They're the same words that you've used.

I'm open to suggestions on how to make it clearer? I'm not a Rep or associated so have no interest in misleading the community.

      • I think the point is that most people wouldn't be eligible and would have purchased something in the past.

        • People do create multiple accounts…

          • @pyramid: With multiple subscription fees lol

            • +1

              @G-rig:

I think the point is that most people wouldn't be eligible and would have purchased something in the past.

The funny thing is I initially posted it with the prices before the $20 discount & was just mentioning that as a secondary consideration but it was edited by a mod. Not saying that's a bad thing, just stating what happened. Also shows that if I was being misleading a mod has looked over it already.

              • @WatchNerd: Yes good not to include the $20 in the prices, it's a bonus that may benefit a couple of people if they have just signed up to Amazon.

              • @WatchNerd: Your original title was

                [Prime] Casio G-Shock GBD200 $129, G-Shock Classic DW9052 $85.21 Delivered (+$20 Off 1st App Purchase) @ Amazon AU

which showed that Amazon Prime membership would be required to purchase these watches at $129 & $85.21. However, these prices are available to all and not exclusive to Prime. It is clear then that your primary intention was to combine the $20 off first Prime App purchase offer with the current discounts to buy at $109 & $65.21. The title was changed to reflect your intention, the correct prices, and the requirements of Prime + first App purchase.

In the future when you encountered a similar situation, please style your title appropriately. For example,

                Casio G-Shock GBD200 $129, G-Shock Classic DW9052 $85.21 Delivered ([Prime] Extra $20 Off 1st App Order) @ Amazon AU

                • @alvian: Absolutely that was my intention to mention the $20 off, I never denied that. Didn't realise it was such a big deal to post with the prices before the discount. Sometimes I wonder why I bother.

                  • @WatchNerd:

Didn't realise it was such a big deal to post with the prices before the discount.

                    Please read title guidelines.

                    Titles should state:-

                    2. Purchase price after discounts & savings.

                    • -1

                      @alvian: Ok no problems.

So what happens when someone negs a deal because they don't like the deal posting guidelines?

                      • @WatchNerd: We follow the inappropriate uses of negative vote criteria.

Any negative vote that falls into any of these reasons will be revoked by a moderator. Negative votes for any other reason will not be removed by a moderator.

                        • @alvian: I knew you would say that, but then you could argue -

Negative Vote, Purpose: To let others know about issues with the deal, merchant or product.

In other words the purpose of the neg vote is invalid.

      • +2

Most people post the actual price and then mentioned another $20 off with coupon/code.

        • +1

See my comment here. So you'll have to take it up with the mods.

        • +1

          Correct, should read $129
Most people wouldn't be eligible for 20 off.

  • Can the clear one turn yellowish after a period of time?

    • +1

Just make sure you remove the watch when having a tug! Minimises the risk of yellowing.

  • This is the ozbargainers official watch

  • Great price on the GBD200, even without the discount. I already used my "1st purchase with app discount" last special time when I got the bright yellow GBD200 for $119 delivered, thought it would never get any lower.

  • got the G Squad today via Amazon AU web, before i saw this post (saw the other general Black Friday posted prior here on OZ B first). post purchase found a $20 credit to redeem waiting for me when i checked the mobile app. will definitely come in handy with the 30-day free Prime Trial this month.

best low-price bargain for a quality digital mineral glass watch i found (also purchased) is the DW291H-1A at $67.15 (sale price $84.95 via Casio Australia web, more expensive on Casio AU Ebay). Casio's Amazon page links to a Monster Tradiing site but the initial link is from Casio AU Amazon page so they must be a legit affiliate:

  • Such an awesome looking watch.

    • My taste is very conservative. I might be the only one in this post who doesn't like the squad…

  • I like it except what are those bars taking up most of the display?

    • can change the main display to be very large digital time with day date. pic above looks to be the step counter display.

    • initally the pic was GBD200.for the DW9052: appears to be seconds increments.

      • Yeah I meant the gbd200. The bars were bigger than with this dw90210. Not that either makes much sense to me tbh.

    • +1

      You have four main views
Nice big time, day, date secs
      Daily steps
      Monthly steps
      Dual world Time

No sure why all the promo shots show this daily step view….

  • -6

Deals are unattainable as the code can be only used once and not on multiple watches.

    • +2

Nobody said the code could be used multiple times. As I already told you I've mentioned it's "$20 off 1st App Purchase" 3 times & linked to the original post in the description which explains the terms and conditions in further detail.

Do you think each watch should have it's own separate post?

    • +1

The mod edited this post and approved it, I also disputed a similar post a few months ago with a mod on the Target newsletter sign up promotion.
It's definitely a process that's allowed. I can see it from your perspective but they allow these posts to be advertised with the discounted price even if it's a sign up promotion.
In this case the neg isn't valid

      • -2

Most people have already used that code. Deal unattainable unless you make you make a new account which would be against Amazons TOS.

        • +2

I think you don't quite get it. Admin/Mods have made this ruling, you are arguing against the system.
If you aren't happy with the rules speak with the mods why are you arguing with me.

          • @maverickjohn: You could post every Amazon deal with $20 off in theory..

            • @G-rig: Yep and the admin/mods allow that ruling. Maybe if everyone spams those type of deals it might let them reconsider the ruling. But again it's not my call.. nor was it watchnerds as the moderator modified his post to change it to the way it currently is viewed.

              • @maverickjohn: Yeah, just post the deal with the real prices. No need to waste your time subtracting $20 off everything and don't even mention it (or maybe a separate mention at the end of the post). Most people wouldn't be eligible.

        • +2

You completely wrong by continuing to not understand what people are saying to you. Your neg will be removed shortly.

Perhaps, read slowly again from the top downwards. WN has done nothing wrong, and you keep doubling down. Maybe next time use the report function, as your neg was never valid to begin with. Hence why you are being downvoted.

  • Although sold out at Amazon, GBD200 still available at Black Friday sale price via Casio AU website:

    https://casioau.com/products/g-shock-g-squad-gbd200sm-1a5-wa… $129

  • Other models available on the au Casio site which aren't available on Amazon such as the casio gbd-h2000 series for $329 <normally $599)

    https://casioau.com/products/gshock-gbdh2000-2d-watch?varian…

    • The paw print.. too expensive for almost the same thing, although has solar at least. Looks like it should have ryobi branding on it.

Wouldn't worry about trying to use the Smart watch functions.

      • Thanks for the Ryobi comment, having bought one I cannot unsee the tradie look now :(

        • Good industrial work look!

If this ever goes half price I'll buy it. But currently it's the most attractive watch in casios line
