Casio G-Shock GM-B2100LL-1A Casioak League of Legends Collaboration $959 Delivered @ Casio

120

Commemorate Faker's 5th League of Legends World Championship this weekend further cementing his place as the GOAT League of Legends player with the Casio G-Shock GM-B2100LL-1A, a special full metal Casioak collaboration with Leave of Legends.

Arguably this may not be a deal even at $959, it is more than 50% off the full price at Casioau. While I haven't monitored the price history closely, I haven't seen it below $1k on Australia. Closest around $1.2k from G Life Watches. Even on Chrono24 it is still above $1k from Japan so will attract import duties and GST.

Description from the site:
Get ready for an epic collaboration that brings G-SHOCK together with the smash hit global online game, League of Legends.

We begin with the GM-B2100 full-metal analog timepiece and feature the magical Hextech technology so important to the Runeterra world in League of Legends. The bezel and part of the band are finished with initial ion plating in a gold color, followed by black, which is then partially removed to create a worn, aged look.

Effective blue touches on the LCD and elsewhere brings the Hextech fusion of magic, science and technology to the world of G-SHOCK. The Piltover coat of arms is engraved on a band piece, evoking the city where this magical technology was born.

This collaboration model is packed with League of Legends energy, including the game logo on the case back and special packaging designed to evoke Hextech.

ABOUT LEAGUE OF LEGENDS

Love Casioaks, but the price of limited editions, especially for a game collab is kinda crazy

    • I agree it is crazy. But some people must be willing to pay those prices for them to come out and stay fairly high.

      • +1

        Do they hold value though?

        • +2

Doubt it, can't find if it's a limited run.

          Ps. It's buttfugly

    LoL

960 bucks for a resin band, lol.

    • It's a stainless steel band

I meant to write case, woops, a little intoxicated right now.

  • +1

Is this game still the top dog? It's been a while

    • Depends how you count. Fortnite, minecraft, and roblox have significantly more players, although they don't have nearly the same degree of competitive scene and much of their player base is much younger.

  • +1

Not worth that much for a different colour.
    I wouldn't pay 500$.

  • +7

Does this double as effective birth control?

    • Hopefully! 2 kids are enough for me!

  • Pretty cool flex while playing league

    • +1

Flexing hard on those iron 5 players

      • Bronze elo hell

  • +2

@rosebank probably likes this one, or do you already have it?

    • Lol absolutely not. I don't play League because I'm not an incel.

The only collabs I have recently bought are the Seiko x Neighbourhood, Zodiac x Redbar Seawolf, Haring x Timex, Peanuts x Timex and a couple of Margiela MM6 x Timex

      • And here I am expecting a Tiffany stamped 6263 in this list

  • You gotta be dreamin!

  • +3

Of course it seems absurd for those who don't play the game or don't care about the League competitive scene. You're simply not the target market.

If there was something like this but for Dota 2 instead I would definitely be interested.

    • message me your steam id if you're looking for someone to play with. Always rare to see fellow dota players

    • Unironically would whale out for a Dota watch. I'm sure Seiko would collab it. They collab with everything.
