What a pathetic bunch of people at Narre warran branch. They screwed up with adding $25 for an extra tire fitment. Then added $39 for nitrogen without even asking me. Confirmed my preferred time of 9am today and recieved the work order. Got there only to be told they don't have the tires. So wtf confirm the work order. Told them to fark off and cancel it. Gonna wait a week for my refund. Pathetic. Good deal but rather go somewhere else
Any thoughts whether I should go for Pirelli Scorpian or Kumho Crugen for Forester?

Bought some Pirellis for my XC60 12 months ago and I'm down to 4mm front & 5mm rear tread - so the complaints of Pirellis wearing quick are definitely founded. The Kumhos should wear a lot better but you might sacrafice a tiny bit of grip and safety. I am considering going the Kumhos

I’ve done a lot of research. Get the Pirelli scorpion MS. Am doing my wife’s forester next week. $939 for a set of 5. On the subi you will want to make sure to do the spare too.
That comment about the spare.. Work had a national fleet of foresters (think millions of accumulated KMs) all with different front and back pairs and original spares - never an issue. Asked the RAC guys too and they rubbished it.
I believe there's a certain amount of tolerance allowed between each tyres (spare included)
Subaru are Dodgey and will use any excuse to not back warranty. I’m not taking any chances for a measly $180

If your changing all 4 tyres, you should be getting a wheel alignment anyway

Yeah, what’s the reason? I just got four Pirelli Scorpion AT Plus at 40% discount fitted by them two days ago. Even at 40% discount, doesn’t seem will be cheaper than MyCar 50% discount soon.
They said that head office retracted the 5% discount the store provided 10% and pirellis provided 25%
Visited Bob jane yesterday, the guy didn't even tell me about these specials. Will be visiting another branch and getting the Kumhos

I didn't know about this promo when I went in, I asked for a quote, and he was selling me Bridgestones, I said was there anything cheaper and he only mentioned hankook. And he said these were the only two options. Booked my service at another Bob Jane for this yesterday Saturday.

can someone more knowledgeable advise if I should be getting the wheel alignment if I am getting all 4 tyres replaced? The Bob Jane guy said it's not compulsory, but we do recommend that you do it.

If the tyres you have ordered are Pirelli and part of their current 35% off sale, then I doubt you'll get anymore discount.

They won't price match MyCar so don't bother, and only give $50 back from 17" or smaller. MyCar much better if you're in that category.
Curious to know from anyone else who ordered online yesterday if the stores are annoyed about the offer being back to 40% and claiming that they likely won't be able to get stock..

Ah too late for me, had to get tyres when I was doing pink slip - mechanic got me continental tyres 1.2k for 4 tyres - did that seem ok? It’s just for a Mazda cx5
