      How much per nut?

      Depends on whom you ask.

      • The real question is how much should you nut??

  • If only we could import bananas. $4.50 at Cole's today

    • +1

Usually much cheaper at Spudshed. $3.99 this week.

Way way cheaper in 3rd world countries…its nuts

      • +1

I pay $1.49 p/kg from Deagon Fruit barn (Nth Bris)

        • That's an insult to 3rd world countries.

    • +2

$2.99 at the local fruit shop. Crazy how much Colesworth charge for bananas at the moment.

    • +2

Fruit is always more expensive at the major supermarkets compared to the smaller fruit & veg grocers.

I saw bananas for $2.99/kg at the market recently.

    • The only thing I don't buy at Colesworth.. local fruit & veggie shop at the side of both coles and woolies in my area are always at either $1.99 or $2.99 a kg, AND you get other varieties of bananas too not just cavendish.

  • That's nuts!

Thank you, I'll see myself out.

I found somehow Woolies one is far worse than Aldi and Coles. My preference is Coles>Aldi>>>>>Woolworths

    • +3

Agree. Sadly it seems Coles didn't get the usual Ww specials memo.

Their (Coles) Tasy Cheddar is back at the "normal" $13.90 - a 50% increase on the special deal they ran for 3 months. I'd bet good money that their sales of that item are down by about the same amount. Sadly we're back on the Aldi Westacre (moderately) Tasty, surprisingly under $9 the other day.

wait until you try the Costco " fancy whole cashews" you'll never go back

      • The only problem is that the jar is too big for me to finish, and gets a big boring after a while

        • You're perhaps not really a cashew person

If you mean these Woolworths cashews?….

I bought these when they were last advertised for $10

      Very disappointed.

Most tasteless cashews I have ever tried. …Id never buy them again

    Awesome find OP

deez nuts go well with overnight oats - crushed and sprinkled

  • +9

Always give myself the nastiest stomachache buying these in special. Go through half a bag in a day and see how you feel the next day.

    • Yep don't eat too many in one session.

I ended up 💩x3 next day.

Thought was a fluke or something else,
So I gave them another go.( still 💩)

If I just have a large handful I'm fine.

Probably ^^^ daily rdi or something really.

      • But who can limit themselves to just a handful in one sitting?! A bag of cashews is great to cleanse the system out hahaha

      • It's because they have a lot of fibre, as the reason you have more regular bowel movements.

    • +2

Never get the honey coated ones. Irresistible. Impossible to stop

    • Theres a reason you feel like shit. 350g of cashews has 2000 calories….

  • stock up for butter chicken night

  • Woollies cashews are so inferior to the real stuff you get at ethnic grocers

    • get the non-salted ones. Salted ones are inferior

  • +1
  • Thanks OP. These will fill the gap until Mayvers/Pics/Bega Simply Nuts go on special again. It's been a while

Be mindful these are roasted in toxic seed oils.

    • +7

apart from making that up, what is toxic seed oils ?

or should I do my own research & blame 5g?

      • Some believe Seed oils are carcinogenic.

        • that's a new one. i thought that everything that's natural is good for you?

          • @M00Cow: Not [all] mushrooms

            • @Xyzzy: its a jibe at the "natural is best" crowd.

Ebola, cyanide, uranium ore, are all natural. and I'll now add mushrooms to that, cheers!

              • @M00Cow: The vast majority of pathogens are natural, but you really don't need to look any further than (clean) water if you want to simplistically trash natural products we consume.

                • @Igaf: h2o the most dangerous chemical known too man

  • Once I tried Kirkland Signature Whole Fancy Cashews from Costco, can't ever go back to Colesworth varieties
Credit to @M00Cow who I see posted this earlier

    • i bought the coles cashews 2 weeks ago - literally were like crack cocaine. I couldn't stop myself eating them. just perfect. must have gotten a good batch.

    • +1

have you tried their peanuts in a white tin? also very moorish

  • Even though it says wool'worth', quality is bad and definitely it's not worth this price even.

  • I prefer Nobbys Nuts
