Westmont are 100% grown and processed in Australia, they used to be available in Woolies but they wanted them to lower the price and they couldn't do it so they aren't available anymore.

Their pickles are great, easily the best quality I've had from what's available in the supermarket I use their Dill on burgers

Their store has lots more than just pickles though, worth checking out.

I stocked up on these when Coles had them on clearance. Really great product, don't mind paying a bit extra for locally produced quality.

  • Wish I had stocked up on clearance at Colesworth! Just bought a pack of the seasoning. The single halves were sold out but not the 3 pack?

On the flip side of that, that's a direct line of communication to the business showing up, where are you getting that from O/s businesses?

I prefer silence than something like this:
        "WE CAN'T STOP"

You need to loosen up, stop making things trigger you this easily.

It's really not that big of a deal. It's how they talk/type on their website and socials. So on brand.

Halves have now sold out on their website.

  • hey, would love to try but the classic pack is out of stock. eta on that?

they used to be available in Woolies but they wanted them to lower the price and they couldn't do it so they aren't available anymore.

Careful I've been downvoted big time here for saying the same thing with people saying "they'd never do that". My family have brands in supermarkets and Woolies are a lot worse than Coles. If you don't put the price down they'll reduce your shelf space, move you from the middle to the bottom or just flat out drop you altogether.

    • Its just a fact statement who will downvote a fact?If a product isn't good but expensive,no supermarket want it to take space but not much sale.A product can be good and expensive or ok but cheap,it can be OZ made but a bit more but can't be OZ made that charge a lot more, nobody care about Oz's with their uncles, aunts so called family business that want suck customer's packet to support their family, thats why they been removed from supermarket

      • Good thing none of that is applicable to my example.

        • Thats relative for"they'd never do that" to a product, its business,so they will do it often, its fact.Nothing stay's on shelf if no sale even someday Coke cola will

          • @yuisakas: The product is good, affordable and holds market share. What's your issue?

            • @Clear: Then no reason supermarket will take it out of shelf just because they refuse to drop on price, the choice is made by customers not supermarket,a good selling product will have power to say no to supermarket if customers like it,just like shopping center will want cloes/woolworths to have a store.

              • @yuisakas: Cool that's what I thought. No clue on how supermarkets operate in regards to their shelf space, brand products, home brands and pricing.

                • -1

@Clear: Just normal logic, cheap but ok or expensive and good, what customers like to buy and sell fast, these are products supermarket want to keep and displayed with more space, ask for price drop either product isn't match the price/replacement is cheaper,I dont think supermarket cares how much a product factory want to sale as long as the product selling fast or have enough profit

                @yuisakas: I'm sorry you're wrong

There's lots of examples of suppliers being asked to drop their prices or pay for "promotions" and if they don't their shelf space goes elsewhere.

4 Corners did a pretty in-depth episode just last year, fruit and veg suppliers have been talking about this for years..

  • Any gherkins?

  • Sure, gave it a go. 3 items for less than a Pint, easy done.

Any chance of restocking sold out items? Especially the halves?

    • @Westmont Pickles

Yes, also interested in several items that are marked as sold out on the website.

I tried them when they were at Woolworths. Very excited as it was hard to find another pickle that was Australian Owned and Made. Had one once I got home only to find they had a mushy and awful texture. Definitely not for me. Unless I got a dud batch, I wont be trying again.

A few months ago I so confused why every pickle jar on the shelf at Woolies came from far away. Then Westmont came out of nowhere, clearly they saw the opportunity.

Support these people – no one else is doing what they're doing

    • I love gherkins/pickles and was surprised how many "polish style" pickles are from India.

  • Mrs Chalmers LOVES these pickles

If you have a Harris Farm nearby, the 500 g Bread and Butter Pickles, and the 500 g Chilli Pickles, and Beer Pickles are cheaper at $6.49 each, rather than $7.50 each with free shipping.

Same with the 250 g jalapenos, $3.99 (vs $4.50 online).

  • Anyone get an order confirmation email? I ordered yesterday and have nothing

    • Ditto, ordered before bed and still haven't seen anything in my inbox nor junk mail

      • I just got my shipping confirmation today

  • +2

i really wish they did whole ones :(

  • I tried these too before as I prefer to purchase a locally produced product but the texture was too soft for me and just assumed that was the style. Do they offer a crunchy pickle?

    Oh no mah pickle :'(

    • I'm waiting over a week now for my package to make it an hour and 20 minutes up the Hume Motorway to Sydney. Shame that they use Sendle for deliveries as at this point the product would have to be exceedingly good for me to bother re-ordering.

  • Mine hasn't arrived; can't log into my account; Sendle sent an e-mail saying damaged in transit and they are getting in touch with the seller

  • I emailed them to let them know that Sendle had notified of damage to the parcel, they responded within 3 minutes saying they'll sort it ASAP, impressive customer service.
