It seems a good value for UST with a 120-inch ALR screen. HDMI 2.1 eARC enabled seems newest model. Tried pricematch with JB but backorder in Victoria. No time write more. Thank you

  • Sounds perfect for my media room

The PX2-PRO is a great price as well, $2,680 with a $200 gc - https://www.videopro.com.au/product/hisense-trichroma-laser-… - Hisense list this at $4k and Bing Lee have it on sale for $4k. Bit more tempting for me since I wouldn't mind adjustable (don't really need 120" all the time).

Very good price, not sure if this has wall colour adaption technology. But not willing to give my money to hisense as they push inferior products to us.

most hisense projectors runs VIDAA OS in Aus, which has apps but not smart.

Since when were we calling projectors laser TVs?

I read this thinking damn that’s a huge panel… then I saw this comment and scrolled back up. Yeah, good point!

  • Are low cost laser projectors good enough to replace low cost 85-100" TVs yet?

    • No projector laser or otherwise can compete with any telly…but that is the whole reason for buying a projector…you can watch the screen all day and not have any eye fatigue…a telly whatever the size is way brighter than a projector and picture quality is way more defined than a projector since the blacks are darker ..a projector and a screen however gives you a 120 or 180 inch screen as opposed to a 100 inch TV which is hard to move and place in your room…but even in a blacked out room..no projector will give the same blacks or colour as a TV…Once 130 inch light weight TVs are around ..projectors will die but that will take some time I reckon ..meanwhile you have projectors

      • Ok thanks. I have a cheap $200 fhd projector which seems excellent value for the money and when comparing subjectively (and not side by side) with a laser projector that was 15x the price, I couldn't really see the fuss about spending loads on a projector. The expensive projector still needed a darkened room and the blacks aren't black and you still need a proper screen to optimise the experience. Perhaps the fan noise was the main benefit.

Will save up for a big tv instead

  • Wonder if it will fit in a ford laser lol
