[PC] World of Warcraft: The Reven Pack $27 @ Battle.net

190

Not sure if anyone plays this game (WoW) nowadays. On the off chance anyone does, feel free to buy this $27 (AUD) digital pet to support a great charity (stop spending your money on things you don't need from ozbargain lol).

Cheers :)

The Reven Pack is inspired by the incredible story captured in “The Remarkable Life of Ibelin” documentary about Mats “Ibelin” Steen, a Norwegian WoW® player who suffered from Duchenne muscular dystrophy. All proceeds* from The Reven Pack sales will support CureDuchenne, a global nonprofit leader in treatment research, patient care, and innovation for improving and extending the lives of those affected by this progressive muscular disease.

“Reven” means “the fox” in Norwegian, and this curious little companion can’t wait to discover the secrets of Azeroth by your side, no matter if you journey through the depths of Khaz Algar in modern World of Warcraft or the shattered world of Cataclysm Classic. In addition, the pack also includes the Reven’s Comfy Carrier for modern WoW—an adorable transmog backpack item with sleeping Reven

It'd be cool if they did multi-game charity packs. (Buy the pack and get items for multiple games)
That way they can reach more gamers and raise more money for charity.

Very dubious about the principle of digital pets, but am hearing great things about this docu and the things this kid got to experience through WoW, so here's an upvote.

Time for some good PR after releasing their $120 mount last week.

A similar mount used to be around $500 so atleast its going down. They should of made this $5. Alot more would of bought it

      • Yeah, I think 30 or 40 aud would have been more suitable.

90usd/120aud is a f—-ing triple-A game lmao. can't believe so many people buy store mounts.

        • You can use in-game gold to buy WoW tokens though that you convert to Blizzard store balance, and can then buy the mount without spending any real $.

Current conversation rate for AUD$120 would be about 1.5M gold.

@Cyan9: Valid point; I'm broke in game, could never justify

Just watched the documentary, holy (profanity) what a tear jerker
