I was interested in a baby strap to carry your baby like a backpack.
I'm having second thoughts, as if you swing around, then baby would swing at a force greater and so would be the stop, which can't be good for a developing brain. I wouldn't have thought anything of it, but I was watching a video of a guy carrying a newborn in one, and it didn't look good.
A baby can't speak for themselves, am I being overdramatic?

I'm not sure what you mean but I was talking about these https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=db4abae39b6385be&rlz=1…
We had/have one of these. Our 3rd child loved it, fourth wasn't a huge fan. Carried our third up to the top of mt ngungun with her in it and fell asleep during the climb.
Sure if you spun around a lot and stopped violently then you might have an issue and did it repetitively but gerally you're not turning around with that much force.
I would purchase and recommend that one.
We have a Ergobaby - no issues. I doubt there would be any situation where you were moving normally that would cause damage.
Also have a backpack one(lazy google image search) that is better for longer trips/bushwalking.
You will see from that, babies are carried in front, in a soft harness.
It works really well, and I preferred them to using a pram.Newborns will face toward you, and when they get a bit bigger you face them forward.
The rigid backpack carriers are for when they get too heavy to carry in front. So more toddler than baby. And by then they long-since have good head support.
Have an Ergo baby I didn't carry them on my back when they were really little, but at age 2, they were okay being at the back. Was a lifesaver in HK. I would carry forward facing towards you as a newborn, at your front but facing the outside world when they are a bit older and more curious about the world, then on the back when they get too heavy. I don't know what you would be doing to swing with that much force, but walking normally wouldn't be problem.
I had an ergo 360 which I didn’t use a lot, as I’m more of a pram person, but there wasn’t an issue for what you mentioned with baby swinging around. I also had a cheap baby bunting carrier when they were really little and it was useful when vacuuming the house. That used to put him to sleep quite effectively. They are meant to sit high up (high enough that you can kiss their head) to avoid the risk of them suffocating. This probably helps with them not swinging around too.
There are different types of carriers. Baby is close enough to you there really isn't much of a problem (I also don't think most people would be swinging around dramatically with a baby…)
If you want to link the video we can have a look as well. A lot of people don't necessarily wear their carriers safely or correctly, so you have to be careful with what you're referring to. Refer to TICKS for safety guidelines to always keep in mind. https://www.carrythemclose.com.au/pages/babywearing-guidelin…
There's front carry facing you (works until a certain age), back carry over your shoulder, front carry facing out (not recommended for long periods of time, puts more pressure on baby's hips compared to front inwards or back carry). Carrier types are stretchy wrap, soft structured carrier (SSC), woven wrap, ring sling, meh dai, onbuhimo etc.
When they are young, you carry them at the front. By the time they get to the age where you can carry them like a backpack they are so heavy you wont be swinging them around like you are imagining. We are talking 12+ kilos here.
Have you considered messenger bag style?
