Was interested in this grinder before and had this on my camels watch list. Great deal for those who are after this grinder. As for me, I'll probably go with the DF54

I was looking at getting a smart grinder pro, then found positive reviews for this so changed my mind and then put this on my watch list. Now the feed back from here have me rethinking what i want.
I have one. it's not great, but it depends on what sort of coffee you like. if you drink espresso i'd steer clear.
I have a white on of the ESP. Had it for half a year so far so good. I only pour in 20g beans a time for a double shoot. I better keep an eye on the parts if Synth is saying there may be issues in the not so distant future.
I just bought an espresso setup and was researching grinders for agessss. Settled on the Baratza esp and its been great.
I was looking at the Breville Smart Grinder and the Fellow Opus but went for the Baratza due to price, availability of parts and the fact I could buy it price matched at JB so if anything fails I can take it back to a physical store.
After using it for a few weeks I am still happy with my decision, but would probably pick up the Fellow Opus if you can find it for the same price due to the better performance on retention and static as well as aesthetic.
Hopefully this helps anyone who is unsure!
As someone who spent a bit more and got the Eureka Mignon……that would be my recommendation.
I've had one of these for a few years. It works ok but here are a few things I don't like about this ginder.
