KSTART10XANZ1022

Older model released in 2023 with Mediatek Helio G85 processor.

The coupon (XANZ1022) is Automatically used when you add to cart, but use the coupon KSTART10 provided to double dip the discount.

Cheaper than buying from Amazon AU

You can buy the latest 14c model for $164.88 using the same coupons, but it's not worth it since it also only has 4GB of ram and a relatively low end Helio G81 Ultra based on 12nm.

From GSM arena:

Redmi 14C is built around a 6.88-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel is rated at up to 600-nits peak brightness and features a 13MP selfie cam embedded in the water drop notch.

Note this seller is not the official Xiaomi store, only a reseller that happens to be using Xiaomi ANZ as its eBay username.

  • Save my money for a better model.
Here's the catch! When everything looks good until you see this: 1600x720, 260 ppi

Wait so you're saying if I spend more I will get something better?

  • +1

Hard to beat at that money. Going to be ok with 3g shutdown?

    • +4

You'll find this in the product description.

      • Our phone is specially designed for Australian users and can support Telstra voLTE network. When the 3G network is disconnected, it can still be used normally,You can buy it with confidence.

      • Support All Australia Carrier Network

It's also being sold by Xiaomi ANZ, so I think the least the ANZ branch of Xiaomi would do is make sure the phones sent to them are configured to work well with Australian telcos.

        In the description though:

Note this seller is not the official Xiaomi store, only a reseller that happens to be using Xiaomi ANZ as its eBay username.

    Seems cheap enough to me!

  • That's weird ANZ branching out into selling phones now.

    • Nope that would be anz xiaomi, this is xiaomi anz

  • Wow with band 28!

If apple sell a phone with this spec it would be $1,432.80 and people call it good price.

    • If this phone worked with Apple IOS, it would be $1532.99 and OOS already!

      • just wait when apple get its first innovative foldable out the world will be in shock and people camping out all over again

        • +2

Yea, and the price would be $2999.99 and still, it would be OOS at 0.1 of the second.

  • i get this is not 5G phone but im not sure why, when using 5G to access internet outdoor my current phone (galaxy fold) would be very warm borderline hot. is this normal?

    • I wonder if borderline skin warm too. Abnormal folded device cause trouble, sometimes. Psychosomatic possible, but could be 5g?

      • this is my first phone with 5G so i have no idea. for now i turn off 5G when outside house

        • +1

for now i only turn on outside. see who is right about borderline skin warmth

    • +1

i don’t have a folding phone but shouldn’t run any warmer than if it was on 4G, check what apps it’s running in the background when you are using it, some background apps only run when screen is unlocked.

Coming up as $129.20 for me

just FYI - although the seller is labeled "Xiaomi ANZ" , in the checkout it turns out as: "Sold by newlegend-0" which gives me zero confidence that this is an official branch of xiaomi. I will see how the delivery goes, but I assume this is just another gray-market reseller pretending to be official distributor.

Wouldn't this be far better? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/296714065781 similar specs, same chipset, double RAM and storage

    • Isn't it more expensive?

      • +3

$14 for double the RAM and storage isn't worth it?

    • I think that this is a better deal, I mean its virtually the same phone (specs) with more ram and memory.

    • +1

      It does seem better.

My main concern is whether or not it will work after the 3G shutdown. In the current deal, the seller explicitly says it will work after 3G shutdown (seem to mention it on other phones too), the xiaomi model seems to be sold at other Aus retailers too so it kinda makes sense.

Seller doesn't guarantee it will work after 3G shutdown for that phone you've linked, it's not offered at other Aus retailers too it seems

      • why i wont work? it has 4G … i dont get it why you think the phone will dead because we turn off 3G in australia…

        • Basically, Aus gov introduced a stupid law requiring telco's to block phones that they can't guarantee are capable of 4G emergency calls, plenty of 4G phones are getting blocked (not all 4g phones can do emergency 4g calls).

You can google it yourself if you want the full story

      Delivery:
Estimated between Tue, 10 Dec and Mon, 16 Dec to 6027

Thanks for the link mate..POCO C65 IS a better deal, and I have confirmation that it is the global version and supports the vOLTE network so will work after 3g shut down.. looks like all of their phones will..or at least they say so and is covered by Ebay..

  • if this is the global version and has google play then its a great price - if its the chinese version that has a seller updated updated global rom then make sure you know what you are doing

no mention of global version or global rom in the ad

  • I'd be wanting confirmation this will work with the 3g shutdown.

Ran my My 13C IMEI through the AMTA checker:
Xiaomi 23108RN04Y. OK – you don’t need to do anything. Your device will work normally after the 3G closure.

Purchased my 13C from Harvey Norman by the way.

so tomorrow is the DAY ? wow cant wait the news headlines

    • Interestingly, one of company devices which I manage (Motorola G8 power lite) is marked as incompatible, despite the confirmation that it calls via VoLTE without issues. The message from telstra says that the service will be disconnected from 20th November.
So, tomorrow is the day, but not really…

  • For a few bucks more the Poco C 65 is a better deal , I am sure it is a crappy phone but for 157 dollars delivered a smart phone with 8 gb Ram and 256 gb storage is a pretty good deal so thanks to OP and thanks to Brokenkeyboard ..Oh the Poco C 65 is a month away `but who cares ..a 157 dollar phone with android 14 and 8 gb RAM with expandable storage is gold… spying and privacy ..have zilch to hide..spy away if you like porn Mr Xi :-D

    • "spying and privacy ..have zilch to hide..spy away if you like porn Mr Xi :-D"

It's not about hiding, it's about identity theft (& possibly blackmail?).

      • +1

I never got this bit…identity theft through a phone is not possible unless you have your liscence and passport details in your phone..I do not and never will …as far as blackmail ..with what ? I watch porn , I have photos of ladies who are well endowed and that is completely legal … I could not care less about it on a phone …Every move you make, every Internet search is monitored by our government anyways ..so what will the Chinese get that our own govt does not have … To each his own mate.. if you reckon there is a chance of identity theft or blackmail…stick with the top dollar offerings…I am happy to get a shitty 150 dollar phone with 8 gb RAM an outdated processor and expandable storage as a replacement for my regular phone for when I travel or to give it as a gift

  • A Moto G54 would be a better and faster option.

    • I agree , how do I get a Moto G54 for 157 dollars ?
