I bought the TCL 845 85" last year from JB during Black Friday sales for $2620 I think… This is a damn good price for a better TV.
How's the TV been?
I've got the 845, picture is spectacular.
I have a desktop hooked up to it, flawless on 120hz, colour reproduction, and it is fast running Google native for your streaming apps; I use Netflix and prime currently.
Some very minor bugs is the share has twice in the last year just frozen and required a restart, but still just remote and it hung for maybe a minute. Other than that no issues.

This newer 855 is about 40% brighter ~2000 nits to ~3500 I believe, which is bright as. It also increases from ~900 dunning zones on the 845 to just over 2300. This is from memory, but it's going to be a brilliant TV, honestly won't get better for the money.Picture is excellent. But there is some tearing from time to time. Might be just some settings. I would definitely buy it again. Diablo 4 looks wonderful on it.
I have a 55" LG C1 OLED that ive been wanting to move up from. Pricing for a 75" OLED is still a bit too much for me. Can anyone weigh in here how the c855 would compare? I know it's not going to match the black levels. But how close does the mini LED come these days?

As someone who has never bought a TCL TV, are they good? Back when they first started showing up in stores, they were seen as a cheap, non high quality brand. Sounds like thats changed?

I have one of the cheaper 42" models and it is slooooow. It takes forever to start-up.

Yes, I managed get it down to $2160 + $59 Delivery at JB (Not as cheap as Shanetrain). They have stock at Melbourne Warehouse (Derrimut/Werribee). Delivery anytime after Monday.
The deal was $2700 plus 20% perk off (-$540) so TV = $2160.
I called 3 stores, 2 online chat and then walked into the store after.Hope this help. Good luck people
Still pretty good effort mate! Bit weird they didn't price match HN and randomly offered you $2700, at least they let you stack the 20% off!
I was suprised as well, i thought it was $2301 price matching HN. But when the saleperson say the final price was $2219. I was like "Sweet"
