terrible experience with the older model 75t. It was sitting there for 1year or so before I opened the box (don’t know when it was manufactured). Battery was dead, no way to charge (0.01v). Google said it is a firmware bug, I am not alone. But no warranty as it is over 1 year.

Jabra warranty is two years. Speak to them directly. Takes a bit of time but they resolve the matter with their support team. I’ve had nothing but great experiences with Jabra

I think if you had registered with Jabra they give 2 years. Ive only had great experience with Jabra's warranty. Had a couple issues with my Elite 8s and one of the older models, and Jabra sent me a new pair within the week.

    • My Elite 85t bought from TGG was DOA. It probably sat on shelf for too long. Terrible experience.

You say you had a terrible experience but did you try contacting Jabra? What does it have to do with Google? I had a pair of Elite 4 that stopped connecting and got it replaced under warranty. There was a bit of back and forth, but I can’t complain about the Jabra suppport.

I have a pair of 75T with some issues of pairing between left and right. It was closed to 20 months, Jabra sent me set of new within a week.

    • And a reminder to everyone that the manufacturer's warranty is not your only recourse. Australian consumer law guarantees mean (simplifying here for this case) you can still go back to the seller (not the manufacturer) if a reasonable person would expect your purchase to last longer than that one year. They usually consider the price you paid, and the condition - clearly here, most people would expect it to last more than a year.

If the seller refuses, you can lodge a trade with Fair Trading NSW, Consumer Affairs Vic or whatever your state watchdog is (ACCC defers to them for individual cases).

    • I've had some 75t's for about 4 years now. A few months ago they went through a full cycle of the washing machine and then the dryer (commercial style too. FIFO camp). Both earpieces were loose outside of the case when I pulled from dryer. So drowned and then roasted. Still working fine. I was shocked.

      • i was very unlucky then, should have used earlier.

  • For those who have finicky ears the oval shaped tips aren’t great for fit. Had the 85ts briefly and had this issue, thankfully I could return them for a refund.

    • True, it is possible to replace them with standard tips however. I have Final Audio E tips on mine.

I reckon just get the Elite 4's for around $50 on ebay so you don't feel the pain when you inevitably lose them.

Elite 8 Active (sport version of same Jabra generation, but better-reviewed than these) also reduced at $229. However, none of these are the latest gen 2 versions, hence the runout I think. Also note that Jabra is getting out of earbud making, but will honour warranty etc for a few years.

  • I've been using Jabra 7 Actives for nearly 2 years now. Best ftting I've had.

  • I can vouch for for these. Had em for 6 months and I am extremely happy, can't fault them. After trying xm5 and galaxy 2 pros. These are far more comfortable, sound better and mic is v good. I also love the subtle click you get when you press the buttons on the buds.

  • Any other earbuds are more comfortable than Jabra Elite 10?

    • People's ears are different shapes. Try a few.
