oh! good to know - trigger time then. thanks

Says in the reviews it always needs to be online which is a shame for a single player rally game.

Good price though. I reckon GOTY edition for the content it adds.

    Dirtbox Rally?

  • +1

Got a notification from my wishlist and came here to see if anyone has posted this.
Picked up for VR and steam deck. Didn't expect this to come this cheap!

This game works great with a vr headset and a steering wheel.

    • Do you reccomend getting the game of the year edition? - I can still return the standard edition

      • At that price, I'm upgrading to GOTY so yeah, I would.

        • Put a refund req for the standard edition.
I've yet to use my wheel with VR. Dirt is one of the few games I love playing with the wheel.

    • What VR headsets are people using? Meta quest, PS VR?

      • +1

I'm playing with my Quest 2

  • Will it still work with 360 steering wheel?

  • +1

awesome ive been waiting for a good price on the GOTY for this, grabbed, thanks OP

  • My favourite rally game with a wheel.

    Dirt Rally is BRUTAL.

Gran Turismo is a walk in the park in comparison.

    Don’t cut.

      Samir! You're breaking the car!

  • Just got this for 19c after using some credits from my steam wallet.

I don't have a wheel or VR gear, and I know this will be a lot more difficult than the rallycross tracks in Forza Horizon, we'll see how I get on.

Probably the best $2.89 you'll ever spend outside of thailand massage palour.

    • I'm surprised that you can get anything for 2.89 in them.

Any recommendations for a wheel and rig? In true OzB fashion I’m looking to parlay a $3 game purchase into another thousand in gear to enjoy it “properly”!

Just go a second hand Logitech G920 from marketplace that some wife got their husband for his birthday and he used once.

Love my Next Level Racing GTtrack, really solid rig and an Australian company too (I assume made in China). Expensive though, they do have cheaper and smaller versions.

The Logitech wheels are the entry level option, but I have a Moza R9 wheelbase and it's great.

I would be unable to use the Logitech pedals now… but they worked fine for my first few years of sim racing when I didn't know any better. Currently using Fanatec Clubsport Pedals.

  • Thanks OP, got the GOTY version. Not a big fan of rally games in the past but for this price looking forward to trying it out on my sim rig

Used to love Colin McRae's Rally.

  • Does this run on a Meta Quest 2 and is it simply a matter of plugging it in or is there some other trickery required (I have a 5m USB cable that is supposed to be suitable for connection headset to PC)?

    • +2

Runs on a PC that has a decent graphics card. Then can stream display to Quest via 5 gbs USB. Hope that helps.

      • Thanks for that. I want sure if they was any additional software required.

  • mmm get this on steam for my psvr2 or wait for WRC on PS5 now that codemasters have the WRC licence back
