I think the direct deal with Google might be better off if you are willing to buy Google products. It is $450 store credit and with Google One, you get another 10% so 169.9. Total is 619.9. Thats if you want to use Google Store credit.

    • you can combine the Google deal with the studentbeans discount

      • Is it confirmed that you can stack:

        • Trade in P7P $700
        • Google One 10% discount
        • Studentbeans 15% discount

title is incorrect, the $450 store credit is on the Pro, not the Pro XL
and the Pro 256GB price after 15% discount (before store credit) is $1571, not $1699

      Typos.

      Thanks, corrected

Is it confirmed that you can stack:

    • Trade in P7P $700
    • Google One 10% discount
    • Studentbeans 15% discount

I wish to stack these three discounts together.

    • Yes this deal is especially good if you have P7P or P6P ($600 credit).

      • I'm wandering if I should go for the google deal or jb-hifi plan one. I have a P7P.
In the jb post seems someone cannot get 350 GC with 1700 off discount.

        • If you have access to all stackable codes and plan to buy things from Google Store, then this deal sounds better or equally good as JB.

          • @aveeno bb: Yeah I just want to keep all the credit for next year's 0$ trade-in P10P.

            • @Xerxes II: Can confirm that those three can be stacked.

              P9P 128 showing as A$744.15 after trade-in + A$594.42 store credit.

              • @FirstWizard: Yes I already placed my 256 order with all possible benefits, expect to come near 29 Oct

    • Seems like when you add the SB 15% off it removes the trade-in?

      • I can see the estimated trade in still showing at check out.

Now it's time to doubt if the Google credit could last to Pixel 10 launch

  • Has anyone tried signing up for the 1 month free upgrade to Google one (google one premium ai) and seen if you get the 10% store credit?

    • Free 1T plan doesn't include 10% credit back, only 2T do (edit: didn't see the free 2T ai plan, you can try and process to checkout to see detailed credit back

  • Tempted to get this and claim the GST during my overseas trip

Signing up for the free google one trial doesn't seem to grant the discount immediately.

The "10% back from Google Store" is listed under "Upcoming benefits" with the date set to when the free trial expires.

    • Haiyaaa they got smart

  • I wonder if I should do this stack all discounts or just wait Black Friday for any trade in deals. I have a pixel 7 pro I need to trade in.

  • I bought 2, using the store credit for the first on the second. 10% credit back from 2TB AI google one 1 month trial on the cash portion of each order plus 2 x $450.

Activated the 12 months of 2TB AI premium and the 10% back perk has been removed from my Google store account so won't apply to a final third order. Google support says free trials don't get 10% (but the first "trial" did), google one app still says the offer is on the account. Pretty sure I now can't cancel the 12 months free to get the 10% perk back or the free 12 months will be permanently gone.

No idea what the logic of any of this is, but just a warning for anyone considering doing a few successive orders, hold off activating the 12 months Gemini advanced.

  • Can anyone confirm if the $450 Google store credit is applicable to Pixel 9 Pro XL? I don't think it probably is but when you select the size, the $450 store credit banner still shows up on the page at the top.

    • No, only for Pro non-XL

  • I was thinking about trade-in Pixel 8 Pro in 1st transaction & Pixel 8 in 2nd transaction. I'll still end up with $535.10 credit after that to be used in future.

    • Just be aware the $450 credit ends tomorrow night, and you dont get any credits until the item is ready for dispatch. So can't leave it too late if you want to order one after another.

  • Hi all,

I'm looking to upgrade from my current Pixel to a Pixel 9 Pro. Can someone please guide me on how to get the above deals? I'm pretty dumb when it comes to these things, so would greatly appreciate how to set the above accounts up and claim a discount. Cheers.

do you have a student beans/unidays account or atleast an edu.au email address to sign up for one? You will need one for the 15% off discount code. (If you dont have one, here is one ZCKA54IOWFOS8WZBWLTV3XZ, but someone might use it so you need to be quick). Enter this as the discount code during check out.

Until midnight tonight, google will give you $450 credit and if you join google one Premium 2 TB $12.49/month, you will get an additional 10% credit. Just note the credits do expire after 12 months.

Also you might be able to trade in your phone too.

      • Hi,

Thank you so much for your reply. What a legend for sharing the code. I do have a student beans account so I should be able to claim the 15%. For the Google One bit, I only have options to use the trial which would mean I'm unable to claim the 10% benefit (is there a way around it?). Provided I'm able to get the 10% one as well, can I stack the discounts to 25%? Lastly, yeah I do have a phone that I can trade in. What do you think is the best way to maximize the value I get for a trade in? Cheers.

        Cheers

        • What i did was just joined for 1 month of google drive 2Tb. I think as you said the free trial doesn't let you get the discount.

I traded my phone in with google, as it was the best rate for my phone. You can try it out and see how much they offer you, otherwise you can try other companies.

Yes the 15% discount and 10% benefit stacks, but the 10% is just a credit, as is the extra $450.

          • @FEELS: Okay, perfect. So, the 15% one is actually a reduction of price whereas the other two are credits that you earn?

Does the 10% automatically apply when you get the membership (meaning when you're signed in with that email ID) or do you need to add it?

            Cheers

            • @AJ2000: Yes it automatically applies, you will see how much credit you are getting when you check out. So you should see the 15% discount, then the 10% credit amount and the $450 credit towards the bottom. If you are trading in you will see all that there too.

              • @FEELS: Hey, thank you for being so helpful through your comments. I was able to purchase the phone yesterday while maximising the discount. After doing some more research, however, I'm scared that I won't get my full trade in value. I went through this thread. What're your thoughts? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/866461

                • @AJ2000: This is my first time trading in with Google too, but usually I would take lots of photos and as some people suggested videos too before you send it.

I haven't had issues with other places so, hopefully things will go smoothly, but I guess might be able to ask for the phone back if the price isn't acceptable and sell it elsewhere.

                • +1

@AJ2000: I received the full price for the trade in. Luckily no issues for me. Hope it goes smoothly for you too.

  • is it applicable for fold also?

  • Did anyone else have a code available for this? Would super appreciate it <3

    • 7Z9D16AQ2JZB7R38VNQDJ45

This is a code for 15% off pixel phones.

      • Including fold?

        • Yes you can use the code on the pixel fold, but as you said below, maybe officeworks or jb has a better deal atm.

  • I guess office-works has a better deal
