Listed at $199?
this one is currently $107.98 for a Limited time deal.
Price expired now, but was dropped to same price. Regularly about this price though.
Seems $107.98 deal is back on atm.
Indeed, zmi 20 was released ages ago, when pd3.1 wasn't popular.
But zmi 20 support 100+45+65 while the ugreen one only support 140+20 when using all three portsUgreen doesn't have the known high quality Samsung cells inside like the ZMI though.
Isn’t this deal better then? Not as cheap as deal price but $120 right now.
Holy moly never seen a 200W powerbank before…
I wonder how useful that is if U need that wattage judging by how you will drain it in 20min at that power.
Surely this power back would get alarmingly hot with that kind of drain.
Hot diggity, im tempted to get another. I can confirm this powerbank is a beast. I travelled to 11 countries last year with this, zero issues for carryon, I could charge my iphone, macbook & drone batteries all at once. Only downside is the battery percentage led light can be abit bright so i covered mine with black tape. Its more slimline than ankers one so this can actually fit in your pocket (only just) while your charging my phone.
Agree with everything you said except pocket. Boy oh boy, this plus your phone in a pants pocket? I'd need 3 belts.
Although I agree with you, we can not be sure that they put both the power bank And phone in theiir pocket?
Don't you think the ZMI on its own would be too much? Maybe I wear too many trackies 🤣
@seamonkey: Sure, that's why I said I agree. I don't even like a thin phone, 10000mAh power bank or
even a wallet in pants pockets, front or back.
@ozhunter68: Hear you. I'm Gen X so imagine how scared I am even leaving the house without a 4 inch thick late 20th century style wallet, keys, sunglasses, phone. I'm too old to rock the eshay bag style. 🙂 When I think it through, we have loads of powerbanks (2 of these beasts) and they don't ever leave the house (except when flying OS) I find the ZMI so good that I'll often choose it over the possibly more appropriate high watt wall charger.
I hear you re no stuff in the pockets. That's the dream I'll likely never achieve. 😢
@seamonkey: Yeah, I'm Gen X as well, hence the 68 in my username (not age but year born haha).
I'll have to start using mine more before it ages in box lol.
I travel a lot in my campervan, that has a 300Ah @ 12 V power bank that charges via driving and
solar, so that is just too easy with 4 various USB A/C PD charging points spread out.
They don't do this kind of high Watt output though, my Chromebook does not need much power.
Get yourself a belt mounted phone holder like this https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/175088975869. I've been using one for years and no, I don't care if it looks odd. :)
I might be Gen X, but never got into these, even 20 odd years ago lol.
Good for some people though.
Why wear pants at all?
I can confirm without a belt, my pants fall off. I have deep pockets XD
I thought the max you can carry on a plane is 20000 mAh?
Not sure where you got that. 160Wh
<100Wh no questions asked (typically 27000mAh)
100-160Wh with pre-approval or declaration to airline at check in.
27000mAh
i carried this powerbank, a 10k magsafe powerbank, & three drone batteries for my mini 3 pro. Had zero problems all through europe. I think there is a limit but When i fit these both powerbanks in my pockets no-one cared lol.
so there's not battery limit if carry-on ?
For those wondering why this costs so much: the Xiaomi ZMI No.20 has generally been considered the king of high end power banks for the past few years.
Hmm Cactus' review says that this power bank can take 100W input, but the ZMI product images on Amazon state that it can only do 65W input. Anyone know who is right?
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/801284#comment-14326078Best I can do is charge it at 90W input when low, but it doesn't maintain such high levels of input for long and will eventually drop, presumably to reduce heat and preserve battery longevity.
Mine are the same, they charge the same as any other battery, first in bulk and then absorption mode, where the wattage slowly drops.
It's a 90Wh battery, so 90W is actually the ideal charge rate for standard lithium ion cell chemistry.
By the end of a complete charge they're hot enough, I wouldn't want them charging any faster.
I bought mine ages ago so I'm not sure if it's still true, but there's at least 2 variants of this.
Maybe one takes 65w and the other takes 100w
This is the QB826G which has the 100W input, the QB826 is 65W (it also has a max 200W output and doesn't output 20V).
From the comment above though it probably doesn't matter too much since the 100W can't be sustained.
IIRC the QB826G charges up in about 1 hour 20 mins, the QB826 in about 2 hours.
@Simoneister: That makes sense, I underestimate how fast things charge.
i ordered 1 for the lore.
I wish the seller was Amazon… third party seller… no thanks.
Obviously you don't know how support n warranty claims work when a item is shipped by Amazon.
Waiting for them to be sub $100 I'm not in rush :)
Well… If anyone is interested, the UGREEN 130W 20000mAh version is currently going for $97.98 on a limited time deal.
Love these fun and informative tft screens to geek out.
Why not just type 25 Ah? Instead of 25000 mAh…
Lol someone needs to do their math. 25000 is more than 25 Ah
25,000 millimetres = 25 metres.
25,000 milliamp hours = 25 amp hours.
This or this?
Great power bank. I think I've got 4 now lol
The ZMI or the Ugreen linked in above comment?
ZMI
Some planes may not allow large batteries in the cabin. If detected by security scanners, you may encounter issues until the aeroplane company confirms. I recall It was 160W, but It depends on.
You're confusing Watts (the rate at which it can output energy) with Watt-hours (the amount of energy stored). The typical airline limit is 100Wh, the listing rates this battery at 90.75Wh.
How does a second phone charge my laptop? Or are you suggesting that I buy a second laptop too?
Not everyone uses their laptop for boring tasks like you.
Yeah because swapping phones is a really quick seamless process… this can give my phone 50% charge in about 10 minutes
When travelling I can have a device in my bag that could charge my phone, laptop, camera, switch, headphones without being tethered to a wall? A second phone does not offer this solution.
This has many use cases beyond charging personal devices. I use this in a live broadcast production scenario paired with PD spoof cables to provide 9/12/15/20v DC output.
Anyone know if this will so 100W or so Super VOOC charging? Looks like it will do 20v/5A from the USB A. Maybe it will do it with a correct cable?
All I know is Super VOOC is Super tricky. Don't own an Oppo any longer.
Now that I got one already since earlier this year (after missing out on these deals around 6 times),
this deal is still available through MM Amazon AU after 10 hours lol. Still have not heavily tested out
or used it much yet, but with specs and reputation I really wanted one of these beauties for the collection.
🌝
I have one of these, and it has pretty significant self-discharge. Has anyone else who has one (or more) of these noticed any significant self-discharge? Mine will drop anywhere between 3-5% per week just sitting on my desk. Trying to figure out if I should exchange it under warranty.
Sounds like you have a defective unit. Mine keeps its charge for a good few months without dropping.
That's interest as I have two other ZMI power banks that did the same. One was a 45W and a 65W output model.
Does your ZMI No.20 do the same thing, or does it hold charge like @anonym's seems to?
They self discharged fairly quickly but after a month or more, especially the older 45 W model
which I have given to a friend as it's better to have the power bank used regularly than sitting
iddle for a few months or more (I have far too many power banks than I need).
ive had mine for 2 years. minimal self discharge. unless you leave it for weeks on end.
The Ugreen equivalent can deliver up to 140W on a single port, whereas this Xiaomi can only deliver 100w per port.
Also can be had for the same price:
https://www.amazon.com.au/UGREEN-Portable-Charger-Charging-B…
Looks like the Ugreen is the better deal to be had.
