    Just opened my 1KG bag from the last deal and it s alotttt darker than usual for Enterprise. Must have been over roasted or I got the wrong type.

    Always confused between getting coffee ground for my French plunger or getting a whole bean and ground every time for the plunging. Any tips?

      Hey there OziShopper - we would always recommend you buy whole beans if you have your own capable grinder and then you grind the as you need them. I hope that helps.

          A good grinder is probably the most important piece of kit for espresso coffee. If using a plunger or aeropress etc, they are far more forgiving for grind quality.

          Freshly ground beans is the biggest contributor to a good cup of coffee.

    The sumatra blend is a light roast? I'm specifically looking for a pourover blend.
    All the other beans I've tried from Airjo are dark roasts

      Hey there Benicio - the Sumatra Blend is our lightest roast. Similar to Twilight if you have had that one before.

      They don't do light roasts. All medium to dark espresso level. Not suitable for pour over IMO.

      Hey there Temerarious - if you are asking if the Sumatra blend is recommended for cold brew I will defer to your fellow OzBargainers who have run it through Cold Brew - we would normally recommend the darker roasts like Stargazer as a great place to start for Cold Brew. That said, it really depends on your personal preference, just note the Sumatra Blend is one of our lightest roasts.

      I have used Sumatra for cold brew (drip, not infusion) and it worked well, but I preferred both Enterprise and Stargazer.

      Honestly I've been happy with all of my orders from Airjo, and I've tried a bunch, but for cold brew I like these 2 roasts.

      Edit: Ooh. Centaur blend! Sounds interesting. That'll be my next order.

    Hey there krnjoejoe - if you order now it will be shipped tomorrow via express post Australia Post. If you are in an overnight express area in Melbourne there's a good chance it will arrive Tuesday - otherwise next day notwithstanding any unforeseen delays in the shipping system.

    Have been drinking the Sumatra / Colombian / Enterprise over the last 4 years and has been consistent and great drinking.

    Still have 1/2 bag of Sumatra left from last deal, but had to leave it as it didn't taste the same as previous batches I have had. Perhaps under-roasted as it tasted a little flat and green and no oomph as I have otherwise enjoyed about the Sumatra in the past.
