Be quick as stocks are limited!

Your high pressure marketing tactics don't work here. Let the deal speak for itself.

    • +3

here is exactly where it works ;-p

    • 64 positive votes and 800+ clicks later. Clearly it worked.

      • 800+ clicks later. Clearly it worked.

        Clearly very limited stock.

        • +1

          I didn't know 800 clicks means 800 sold.

          • @Clear: Glad we can agree.

            • @Lucille Bluth: Yep, Aaron's marketing worked and the deal is popular.

Now had this been normal price at Aldi it would have been even more popular. People love Aldi RRP.

  • Revo $988 or $998?

    • $988

Be warned: many buyers, us included, weren’t able to make this thing play nice with wifi. We had to send our back and there are whole Reddit threads dedicated to troubleshooting the Q7’s wifi issues.

      Disable 5GHz on your wifi
I had a lot of issues till I noticed this

      • +19

Why would you ever want to do that?

        • To get the robot cleaner to work

          • +18

@illusion99: Crippling my internet to get a robot cleaner to work is probably the worst solution I can think of. A company sending a robot vacuum into space should be able to fix this via a software update, as it seems no other models are affected.

            • +1

@LINK91: You asked why someone would do this and this is the reason. Nobody said it was a good solution

              • +2

@illusion99: Right. Comment was directed at bloom more so, anyways. Id throw my robots away before I lose my 5ghz

Rather create a separate 2.4GHz network and SSID for IOT type devices so they don't slow down your network and also avoid issues related to band steering with mixed 5GHz and 2.4GHz networks.

Rather create a separate 2.4GHz network and SSID for IOT type devices so they don't slow down your network

This is actually not true unless the separate 2.4GHz network uses a non-overlapping channel AND another radio (i.e. another Access Point). WIFI is/uses a shared medium. Multiple SSIDs (from the same Access Point or otherwise) on the same channel or overlapping channels WILL impact performance. Mainly you will incur multiple overhead from Management Frames. Devices on your main SSID also won't get a speed boost as they will still share airtime with the IOT devices on the separate IOT SSID.

A separate SSID really shouldn't be considered for performance reasons. Many do it for security reasons (e.g. segregating IOT devices/traffic from user devices/traffic) but this should also be considered less preferred if your AP has firewall capabilities built-in (i.e. create rules to segregate the 2 types of traffic from the same SSID).

For more details on multiple SSIDs and its impact on performance, have a look at this article from Cisco.

      • You shouldn't have to do that completely disabling 5Ghz. Although some more modern routers default to combining both WiFi frequencies into a single WiFi SSID which causes issues with some devices. It confuses the crap out of those devices.

That a lot of routers also have the ability to seperate the 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz frequencies into seperate SSID. You just have to configure it that way in the router settings. And then you just connect the robo cleaner to the 2.4Ghz SSID. There should be no problems.

    • Dealing with this issue currently with my Q Revo, very annoyed

      • If your router defaults to a combined single WiFi SSID (2.4Ghz and 5Ghz frequencies combined into a single SSID) which is what modern routers tend to do. Configure the router settings to seperate the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz frequencies into seperate SSID. One SSID for 2.4Ghz and another for 5Ghz. Then connect it to the 2.4Ghz SSID. It should be right then.

        • Mine doesn't have the ability to do this :( both bands are combined unfortunately.

          • @Ongy528: Mine doesn't either I have the Orbi with combined 2.4 and 5ghz access point. Setup the Q Revo S the other day and no issues connecting.

            • @LowRange: So mine was working initially but suddenly stopped working, no change to my system. Prob just gotta find time to try all the potential solutions.

    • Mine works fine. Just annoyed I paid 700

    • Zero WIFI issues for me, works like a charm. Get notifications when I am away from home that it is stuck or returning to dock.

Really happy with my Q7 max + last week from Amazon for $599. Doesn't like lightweight frilly rugs of phone charger cables but super happy with it's performance and app. Haven't had any issues with wifi, had it up and running in minutes.

  • Got the Q Revo S the other day. It's ok but honestly not a whole lot better than the ~3yo Deebot T9+ I had, was expecting better for the money.

    • Mop work weĺl?

      • I think if your floor doesn't show marks easy it would be ok, but i have high gloss mahogany like this https://i.imgur.com/hbyQ0g3.jpeg

So it leaves marks and a white haze, so for me i think the Q Revo Master with the hot water mopping would make a huge difference. But at $1,400 more it's definitely getting in to crazy money. If you start with a spotless floor done manually, the Revo S should help prolong manual cleans. But it won't make a dirty floor spotless.

  • what's the best roborock if im not interested in mop function?

      Q7 max+

      • Thanks!

Does it come with 1 or 2 years of manufacturer warranty? The website says 1 however on the deal here it says 2 years.

    • Decided to go ahead with qrevo. Hopefully the OP is right it will have 2 years warranty. I've used s5 since 2018, I think it's time to change to something with mopping function. This might be the middle ground for those who has limited budget however would still like a decent mopping feature.

  • Suction power below 5000pa. There were deals last week with much higher suction power. Why would this be a good vacuum cleaner? Am I missing anything here ?

    • Focusing purely on suction power missing most factors that influence performance. It is like buying a phone and only considering screen size and nothing else, or a camera and only considering megapixels and nothing else.
