  • This toilet paper feels like sandpaper to me. I've stopped buying it. I still have a 30 rolls to get through though.

    • Which one do you recommend then?

      • +8

Sorbent silky white, which is half price at Coles at the moment. I'm sure not everyone will agree, but I prefer this now. Quilton quality hasn't been as good as it was before covid in my opinion. https://www.coles.com.au/product/sorbent-silky-white-toilet-…

So you get 48 rolls for $1 - $3 more. Why aren't people ozbargaining this.

        • Agreed, quality has dropped way off after covid. They obviously ramped up production during it but they cut costs and now the rolls are thin and feel not great. Whenever I open new roll it rips a quarter of the paper off lol

        • +1

          Shit that's cheap

        • God damn that's cheaper than the large packs per sheets. Hopefully it's not too thin it breaks through to my fingers lol

          • @donman92: That's the risk with sorbet, not as strong and tears (at least the normal sorbant). Quinton is the ozbargain standard (and Amazon delivery is better).

            • @G-rig: It's a no from me then; I'm retarded

              • +1

@donman92: Ha, try it and decide for yourself

    • +4

Everything changed during covid. Whatever cost and corner cutting they implemented during covid has continued on to today. Quilton is absolutely nothing compared to what it used to be years ago.

  • +1

I didn't realise you could buy scented toilet paper.

    • +7

Really? I smell every sheet. I spelt sheet wrong.

    • It's a good idea. Mine doesn't, but I've heard other people's shit stinks.

      • Doesn't do enough. Still got a spray handy

  • +1

A comedian once told me: "If you had poo on your fingers - would you wipe it with a tissue, or would you wash it?"

I still choose to wipe my arse.

    • -1

      Baby wipes.

    • An ozbarginer told me one year is the pay off period for a bidet

    • I don't prepare food with my arse

  • For people who take king size dumps presumably

    • e.g. King Charles

  • +1

There's nothing wrong with the Aldi TP which is cheaper, no deal here for me.

    • -1

Aldi's Confidence brand is actually made by Quilton. So yeah, you're saving some money, but the quality is still horrendous and on par with the branded Quilton.

      • I'm only going to shit on it, I don't really care - as long as it's not the 1 ply scratchy special you get in some public toilets then it will be fine.

  • +1

    That's big ass saving

  • +2

    But honestly even with S&S it’s $0.60/roll.
Quilton KS 4ply which is now down to $13.50 works out $0.675/roll but 1ply thicker and I’ve been using it since before covid, good stuff especially it was llike $11 pre-covid.

    • These 48 packs are good enough for $21.60, long time running as well.

Quilton 3 Ply Toilet Tissue (180 Sheets per Roll, 11x10cm), Pack of 48 Rolls (no Inner Packs) https://amzn.asia/d/j5BaBux

    • I use it too. BUT, 3ply 175per roll, 4pl 120 per roll.

      • Not worth overthinking it too much.
Don't need 4 ply or king size.. people aren't going to use less number of sheets due to more ply unless really being conscious of it.
