Aragon Parma 2 w/ Tritium Tubes Automatic Watch US$195 (~A$290) Delivered @ Aragon Watch

Ever lusted for guaranteed all-night performance? Then this is a watch for you. The hands and indexes have tubes filled with tritium gas, which glows on its own without needing to be charged with light like normal lume. Most of the tubes glow green and there is a double tube in blue at 12 o'clock. It's not often you'll fine a timepiece with genuine tritium under A$300.

Apart from that it's a solid, well-made watch with respectable specs. I've got two Aragon watches and they're superb quality for their price. Comes in four colourways:

    • Never heard of Tritium tubes in a watch?

It's the ever lusted for all night performance I was referring to, when describing a watch and it's glowing performance is just stupid

        • +1

Tritium tubes give me the horn.

          • @henno: You may want to get that checked

        • There are lume junkies out there, I can assure you.

    • +1

Ball uses tritium tubes as well, and they cost atleast 10 times this.

    • have tritium on my luminox watch, love it, down side is they are expensive and start to degrade after about 20 years, still bright at night though.

      • Well, I think the usual glow in the dark stuff degrades after 10 years, so 20 years is still quite long. Plus you can replace the tubes when it happens

  • +2

    +1 for the tritium 🤩

  • I'm getting US$215.

Anything I should be doing to get to US$195?

Soz, I just checked and the code 55 didn’t stick when I posted it (likely user error). Updated now. Enter that into the coupon box on the checkout page and it gives you a US$55 discount.

Ahhh Tritium, the poorer cousin of Radium, which you can't get anymore and. Is still working fine with the radium-226 used for lume having a half life of 1600 years. Stay safe and make sure you have Radaway for your radium watches.

    • Radium isn't used anymore for a reason.
Present a moderate health risk, probably ok for a while as long as you don't open the case.

People just like it as old rolly's use it.

PS 15mm is dive watch thick..

  • Parma

Yes please. Chips and salad thanks. I'm on a health kick.

  • Best way to pay with AUD?

    • Probably similar to what Clear suggests when paying AliExpress through PayPal.

    Real men read Radium.

  • Finally succumbed and bought the teal.

Will post a review here, once I have it on the wrist for a few days :-).

Been aware of this brand and its chops for a decade or more, so hoping it will live up to expectations.

FYI, Aragon watches used to be branded as Android watches, trademarked many years before Google decided on that name for their OS.

They (the watch company) rebranded as Aragon in 2015 after Google finally acquired all rights for the Android trademark for themselves. Always hoped that Wing (owner/designer) got a massive payout from Google for the foresight of choosing that name well before they did, but suspect he just wanted to move on and continue producing decent watches rather than fight a behemoth and have always respected that.

That trademark would be worth a fair bit more today though :-).
