Not working for me, gives this error when I apply the code..

Looks like that's the wrong code. Please double-check and try again.

    • I think they use a tracking cookie and you have to click through Student Beans for the code to work.

      https://www.studentbeans.com/student-discount/au/ebay

      • I did, it even shows the same code on ebay when I go to ebay from SB.. I just reactivated the sb account now, maybe thats the issue.

        • Try a different browser or device.

Most users are having issues on browser. Try using apps. Should work fine

    • I had the same issue. Logged out of eBay, logged in tried again and it worked.

Thanks OP, I just yesterday had my MX master 2 on the floor in pieces to repair the free scroll function. A tiny little spring came out and I'm not sure where it was supposed to go back. Still seems to work without it but not sure how long that will last.

Anyways, been meaning to get a new one and $85 seems a good price. Thanks!

Edit: flipped through Ozbargain posts for this and seems like an all time low if you can get the student beans discount.

$85 shipped with eBay membership, woot!

    Awesome deal. Any in white?

  • Past me would say get it price matched at ow for easier warranty issues, because it’s Logitech, you really want it. Recent experience with ow was not that great, had to invoke the magic ACL, they have kinda lost me as a customer.

beware, it's ergonomically shaped brick. 50g gaming mice are so much easier on your wrist

Hit the gym and you’ll be able to use it fine

      • yeah people forget that mice size and weight is relative to the person using it. They are always making out like there's an ideal weight for everyone. 100g is a feather to me

Bought one from JBhifi couple of days ago at $105. It’s a great mouse! Can I buy this and return this one to JB? Will JB have their own barcode or something? Thanks

    • You can put the the ebay mouse in jb box if you worry about barcode

      • But they won’t do return when box is opened.

  • What's so great about this mouse anyway? how is it better than this one? https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0C52ZF43S?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_f…

If the basic one is fine for you then you may not need it…. it offers extra functionality (eg additional scroll wheel & a few buttons), the scroll wheels have magnets for extra fast scrolling, works on glass surfaces, pairs and quickly switch between 3 devices etc….

I use one of these as my everyday and an MX anywhere as a smaller portable mouse and don’t use a lot of the features but love being able to switch between devices and work on any surface…

Also looks like Amazon also have it for $105 atm but the Student Beans price is great… https://www.amazon.com.au/Logitech-MX-Master-3S-Performance/…

That's the thing, the cheap(er) mouse that I linked is also quite sufficient in terms of interoperability and can connect with up to 3 devices. This is one bullet point from the feature list.

        • Multi-Device, Multi-OS: Connect with up to 3 devices via Bluetooth on Windows, macOS, Chrome OS or Linux Compatible with Logi Bolt USB receiver only (receiver not included) (6)
        • The description on that Amazon page is for the MX Anywhere 3S mouse. Not the M240 in the pictures that you'll be buying.

And on the Logitech product page, it doesn't seem to say anything about being able to connect to multiple devices like it does for their other mice, just that it can connect via Bluetooth. So I'd say it probably can't do that.

And combined with no even having back and forward buttons, which I thought pretty much every mouse had these days, I'd say the one you linked is expensive for what it is.

Also doesn't have a side scroll wheel or fast vertical scroll wheel either. About the only thing going for it that I can see is that has an 18 month battery life on one AA.

I guess it just comes down to what you want from your mouse.

    • The M240 is tiny. It's a decent mouse for taking with you but gets uncomfortable pretty quickly for extended use. I also prefer the extra programmable buttons personally, and the side scrolling and free scrolling on a mouse like the Master 3S is a godsend for spreadsheets.

    • If you're trying to compare that mouse to the master 3s then it's really not worth trying to explain to you. I'd suggest to move on and use whatever mouse you prefer

    125hz sucks.

perfectly fine for this use case

  • Can someone help me with a code, I finished UNI couple months back so can't sign up with student beans anymore. Thank you.

Thanks OP. Managed to get one for $85, ATL yay. Simply used my university email address to sign up to Student Beans (don't need to be a student, seems you just need an email address with .edu.au).

    • Nice one. Been on my wish-list for a while. Couldn't justify while my MX Master 3 and 2s were working fine but I lost (forgot in the class) my 2s and 3 has started skipping the left click every now and then. Couldn't resist at $85.

yep I did the same. thanks OP!
