Avoid Nick Scali

Nick Scali customer service is the worst I have experienced in years.

I ordered a sofa months ago and received multiple messages that the delivery date was Monday 22 October and I must pay the outstanding amount before the delivery date which I did. I also took the day off work as they said they would deliver the sofa. They also said they won’t take the packaging which many companies do as great customer service.

So late Friday afternoon, just before the weekend, I get a call saying that the sofa won’t be delivered as it isn’t even in Australia. I am so furious as I had to take time of work for these clowns and no compensation or explanation as to why they were demanding the money but no delivery of the goods. I also have a table which I ordered weeks ago. They said it was the last in stock and we would get the display model. No discount either. Go figure. Now we have waited weeks for delivery of the table and still no communication as to when we expect this table which has been fully paid. Never will I shop at Nick Scali again. Utterly disgusted in the service.

    • After a certain stage in life, people move past buying the most budget options possible with furniture.

This is true but this group is either Toyota till it dies or whichever MG is on sale band of group think

        I dont see them rocking $9,000 on a 3-seater

        • Looking at all the posters who've bought from Nick Scali or King on this very thread, I think these are pretty common brands for the forum. Sure it's not AMart or Ikea, but why do we all need to sit on Ikea sofas?

I remember the happy student days of scouring the neighbourhood on council cleanup day and scoring free furniture. It was so much fun. But I'm also happy not doing that anymore. I don't think the forum is all 20 year old uni students.

Now Coco Republic- I haven't seen them mentioned here yet. Reckon they're definitely way out of the Ozbarbain demographic.

  • All companies are like this with furniture, unless they actually make it to order in factory's, I know of one just on the outskirts sydney

This is on you OP, Monday 22nd October isn’t for another 5 years so stop complaining that they’re
    running late.

  • Nick Scali in news today. If i'm you, I will try to get my money back and buy elsewhere.

OP is avoiding their own post more than they avoided Nick Scali!
If I was OP, I would come back to my own post, and wouldn't create a fake account either…

  • It's actually pretty well known now how bad they are, they already have the reputation. Don't trust a company where they advertise hurry sale ending soon every month of the year. Has no one noticed the ads on TV where every month its a new sale, literally.. Every month lol. Anyway, we ended up ordering a lounge a few years ago, of course delayed, the timeframes they give are BS. Didn't function as intended, had months of the techs coming out to fix and say can't fix. Months of back and forth. Finally they gave us a full refund in credit to choose another lounge. At the time Nick Scali recently bought out Plush and so we chose one from there as it's all one company now. Fast forward to getting our new lounge from Plush, the delivery guys came which work for Plush, they were basically saying how they are planning to leave after being there for years because since they were bought out by Nick Scali, the company made all sorts of bad changes and were now horrible to work for because of Nick's sh!tty policies.

  • I ordered a lounge suite from a company that's not around any more and it took more than five months for them to deliver instead of the promised three.

The way it works is this: you order furniture that's not yet made. The company needs to receive enough orders to fill a shipping container before they'll place the order with the manufacturer (almost always in China). If your order is at the start of filling a container you'll be waiting extra long, and maybe even longer if there aren't enough orders. Did your order get missed for some reason? Prepare to add a month or more to the wait.
