Is this any good? I tried MechWarrior 5 on xbox, felt a bit grindy very soon after the initial. All missions were just go to A,B,C then back. Gave up soon.
Also doesn't support joystick, which was so good on the old ones.

  Very different style of mission structure between the two. Mercenaries versions are more about the overall management, with the actual missions being fairly basic unstructured. Clans is completely narrative focused with the management side of things reduced while the missions are all handcrafted and directed.
  
  Sounds like you'll prefer Clans much more.
