Sadly it is better than most the alternatives. Dreame and Shark are a bit cheaper, 40-80 percent of this price, but apparently neither are quite as good. You'd think if it were as simple as you're implying, there'd be at least one cheaper and better option (which there is for other halo products like iPhone)
A quick search turned up a subreddit for replica electronics and people buying versions of this to varying degrees of success.
Not sure id be willing to gamble on it, better to wait till the proce goes down more and/or stacjs with cb and discounted giftcards
