What does "Holiday Edition" mean exactly? Is it the exact same chair as normal?

    • It is a limited selection of finishes we are offering at discount for the holidays. Spec wise it is very similar to the non-holiday editions we are selling.

      • Very similar…meaning there are some differences such as?

Fabric colour + frame colour. The holiday editions are just much more limited in color/options right now. But they all have adjustable lumbar, casters for hard floors, etc.

  • $198 shipping to metro WA.

As a jaded gamer, 'Early access' and 'Holiday Edition' gives me bad vibes…

Why so costly even after discount?

Having kept an eye on Steelcase deals for the past few years, prices seem to be high even with a sale which contrasts to the second hand/refurb market being a lot cheaper due to offices buying at a cheaper rate.

You'd have to REALLY want a factory new chair, or absolutely need a head/armrest on a specific colour to buy new as a consumer instead of a near new refurb or office clear out on marketplace.

These used to be significantly cheaper before the COVID WFH spike. Seems they're competing at the top tier now, or chucking a woolies/Coles.

Prices are so high on sale, may as well spend on a HM Embody or import your own Haworth Fern at this point.

At this price, I might as well throw my money at Herman Miller. At least, their warranty is top notch 10 years warranty. I tested Herman Miller's warranty and it is top notch. You call, they come to your house to fix it and provide parts replacement.

    • I had an issue with my Leap and someone came to repair at my place (took it to their van downstairs) and when they needed to swap a part out, took it away and delivered back to me the next day.

That said, not sure I would buy a leap at this price. Try before you buy. Armrests never felt right to me, always too low.

    Prices are just a rip-off, it's ridiculous

  • No delivery to queensland? :(

    • never got an answer on this….
