better to get 2 singles for more flexible monitor positioning.

Dual arms get restrictive on how you can place your monitors.

      This is the way

        nope.
knowing this AND buying both, plus another one to then only use one of the dual and one of the singles… because the first single didnt hold up because you went the cheaper version first - this is the ozbargain way :)

  • What was the price before that makes this a bargain now? I see Crest's RRP is $69, but if it will always be $29 at Bunnings….

One of the Bunnings reviews implies the 8kg max weight is probably overstated.

Do not even bother with these kinds of arms, get a gas spring. They can only move forwards and back rather than the addition of up and down and up and down is just as important as forwards and back.
Also since they aren't on a gas spring, these can sag under heavy loads when the arm is fully extended, even if the monitor is not near the weight capacity. There's a reason that it is on clearance.
As someone already said, get 2 single arms rather than 1 double arm.

It's fine if you don't need to regularly move your monitors around. You can adjust the height when you set it up. I havent moved my monitor position since set up.
I've got 2x27" monitors on a mount like this and sag isnt an issue after 6 years but will depend on how strong the mount is. Gas struts can also degrade over time and not hold the weight anymore.

      • Yeah there's two reasons to get arms, and for the first these are fine.

        1) Free up desk space/ make a tidier more minimalist desk top

        2) Have high flexibility of monitor movement and configuration.

I understand (2); but have never had the need for it, stands have done me fine many years

  • Agree, if you set a camels watch, the good monitor arms (search OzB) go on sale regularly

  • I have a similar from Bontech, but a bit cheaper. Works great, a lot of cheaper options on Aliexpress.
