Not sure if my Makita battery can deliver 333 Amps without melting.

    • +9

That's how it works - gets rid of the tree by burning it down

    Pure junk

  • +3

The battery adapter I would require to make my ozito batteries work costs more than the damn chainsaw. If it weren't for that I would buy it just for a try lol.

    • +3

Nothing that can't be solved with paperclips and duct tape.

    • +4

I bought this ozito adapter a while ago. Good price and quality, not 3d printed like some adapters. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/386980038131

Yeah it still costs more than the saw but luckily you can buy the same saw for $90 if that makes you feel better about the adapter price.

    Brushless Fingerless

Done! I've had lots of success with the crazy cheap 6" ones, the only thing I had wished for was a longer bar. They chewed through 4" branches like butter. This is even cheaper. Will suss it out

Let us know how it goes. I suggest pre-downloading voice to text software before you try it so you can still reply haha

awwwww that plastic green cute bumper spikes.

jokes aside, i did buy one of those clones and it use makita battery as well, just make sure you dont get those shitty batteries, use real one, or build yourself good ones.
lube the chain, tension it correctly, it is actually solid for the price (paid like 30$, i use it to clean my back yard, cut down bushs small trees, trunk less than 50mm thick, works wonder)

if you know what you doing, these kinda stuff might be the best money you every spend (i bought a makita blower clone as well for 25$ way back, still works fantastically) . but for some ppl, they outright hate this coz they had the wrong expectations.

  • Thanks, got one. šŸ‘

  • Thanks got one plus a makita to milwaukee converter.

Thanks, bought one, odd the ad says back to school on the front page šŸ˜…

I would avoid these cheap Chinese chainsaws. I had two overheat, melt and die after light use.

  • 6kw gokart motor?

  • +4

Chainsaws are no joke. You don't want to cheap out on one. Always wear full safety gear.

    • Yeah agreed, chainsaws and angle grinders, probaby the most dangerous tools to cheap out on even with ppe. Especially considering that anyone buying a $20 chainsaw is not likely to be buying a quality helmet with face protection to protect them from the high speed budget chain trying to wrap around their face on the first use.

6000w - 333amps from a 18v tool battery, there needs to be regulation, like those F-wits that advertise 240v domestic stuff at wattage above 2400

These "Take a Makita battery" things don't have the ability to shut off when the battery is low voltage or over hot, all Makita tools do, risking an expensive battery on this crap … I KNOW!

    • +1

Any sensible brand would have this in the battery and not the tool.
Seperate to this being a Junk deal, if Makita batteries don't have over current / under voltage / thermal protection then they're a brand to avoid.

      • ALL of the big names have the cutoff in the tool, and the battery, the tool independently cuts of before the battery as one tool's motor will have different needs to another tool and may be damaged at a voltage that another type of tool that takes that battery may not and can draw the current lower, the battery has a low voltage cutoff generally at 16v, a voltage I'd never drain my batteries down to! Ryobi don't … they have the cuttoff in the battery alone., so whatever brand your using unless Ryobi is SH!T in your own opinion! and Ryobi stuff in my experience is SH!T, though some I follow on Youtube are saying they are improving.

Go ahead and argue … I've done the research!!!

        • Of all the Milwaukee, Ryobi, AEG drills I've repaired up to 4 years ago have never had LVD on the tool.
There is not point duplicating this when it is already properly implmented battery side.

It's like a car having 2 of the same gearbox back to back.

  • the motor in the cheapo one i bought from banggood a while back started smoking after a few uses. i then got an ALDI one and is still running. it also has a much more solid plastic body

    • Yes

just an update we got scammed, what I received is a smaller parcel with soap bubble net, I am trying to escalate with Aliexpress

    • how do you do that? i was pissed too, took photos for proof…first time on Aliexpress

    • i got some kind of suction cap … wtf

  • Lol got scammed too

  • +1

Same here, was sent some cheap rubber suction cup thing. Check the feedback for this seller on Aliexpress it seems to be nearly every order.

    • Got refunded pretty quick

      • Aliexpress asked me to send the fake item back in order to get refund, how did you manage to get refund quick?

        • +1

Wow! Maybe quote them their buyer protection service. It says nothing about having to return a product. I'm still awaiting a response from them.

        • I just picked ā€œwrong item sentā€ in the drop down box, photos showing the shipping label and the package that clearly couldnā€™t fit a chainsaw in it and the object.

Not sure if itā€™s just a roll off the dice for a response here?

          • @tissue: Looks like it is a roll of the dice. I did the same as you and even included a ruler in my photo to show how small the package size is and I have just received the instructions to return it. I've spoken to 2 consultants since then and basically gotten nowhere. This is the process and all customers are treated the same. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

the page and the store has disappeared from aliexpress

  • Scam got a small container worth fk all

  • +2

i wonder how it benefited the store? before it was removed there were about 72 1 star reviews and the store has a 62.5% positive feedback rating. i know things are tough in china at the moment but scamming like this wasn't going to last long.

  • Got scammed. Some kind of soap bubble net?
Annoyingly I already bought a makita battery adapter for this.

  • The store has been banned and deals moved to the forums. It seems like Aliexpress has already deleted the store on their system

The Aliexpress Store Deal posting guidelines will be amended today to state that moderation may (at their own discretion) ban certain stores that technically meet 95% feedback requirements — we've seen too many instances of stores starting to scam users once they have accumulated a high enough feedback percentage.

If you have been sent items that do not match the description, or you have spotted a potential red flag (large numbers of 1 star reviews, take a screenshot) please let us know right away in TWAM so that we can take action. Thanks
